Many people are questioning whether or not CyberLife's HPP is going to work at all. Some speculate that CyberLife is the main reason of deviancy, but we have yet to get any sort of confirmation on that front. Many of us are still left wondering what CyberLife is going to do exactly. Sources say that CyberLife has sent out more androids to find ans exterminate all deviants. The outcries from the public have been loud and demanding. The peaceful demonstration set by the deviants' leader, Markus, should have won them their freedom. We will continue to update you as the story goes on here on Channel 4 News.
Hank wanted to slam the door shut in Gavin's face, but it was Connor standing behind Gavin that stopped him. "Who the fuck's that?" Hank asked pointing to the android.
"Oh this guy?" Gavin raised an eyebrow. "This here is my deviant hunting partner RK900." Gavin smirked. "It's supposedly better, faster, and stronger than its previous model." Gavin gave a smuggish wink. "I just call it Nines for short."
"What the fuck do you want, asshole," Hank opted to say in response to Gavin's answer. The officer was going to ask why Gavin would willingly work with an android considering his hate for them, but that jut reminded Hank towards his first interactions with Connor. He used to hate androids too, but now he considered one as his son.
"Well we just came here to make sure you're not hiding any uh... deviants y'know?" Gavin put on his classic douchebag smile. "May we come in?" He wasn't asking for permission and Hank knew this. Reluctantly, the lieutenant stepped to the side and allowed Gavin and his android to come in. "Damn... This place smells like you Hank. Booze and shit." Gavin looked around and saw the giant Saint Bernard known as Sumo growling at him. "And wet dog," Gavin added, stepping away slightly. Gavin looked around some more. "Alright Hank, where is the plastic prick?" Hank raised an eyebrow.
"What are you talking about?" Hank asked, deciding to play dumb. Gavin wasn't the brightest so Hank figured he could stall long enough for Connor to realize they had visitors.
"Don't play stupid with me Hank," Gavin hissed and turned on Hank. "Where's Connor?" Hank shrugged.
"Dead I'd assume. Last time I saw him, he was with Markus and the other deviants when they were attacked." Hank didn't lie about that. He had saved Connor from an attack the humans had launched on the peaceful androids. Despite the thousands of androids that Connor had awoken, many were taken down by the army's overwhelming force. A lot of the androids didn't know how to fight thus bringing them to their dooms. Markus escaped along with his Jericho crew whilst Hank saved Connor.
Gavin frowned at Hank. "I know he's here, Hank. You and that plastic piece of shit were real close when the FBI took over the case." Hank looked down at the short detective.
"I know," was all Hank said. The old man turned to head down the hallway, but Nines stopped him.
"Please stay here while we investigate to ensure no deviants are hiding," it said. Its voice sounded souch like Connor's except the robotic tone was more present. Hank clenched his jaw and fist, but obeyed. Gavin and Nines began to snoop around the kitchen and living room. Sumo grudgingly sat next to Hank, prepared to rip out either of their throats should Hank give the word. Unlike with Connor, Sumo didn't like these two.
Connor heard the commotion and had already taken precautions. He had shut the door to his room and then jumped into the closet. He took a few of the boy shirts to throw across his shoulders and torso as to hide the LED's from his jacket. Once Connor was situated, he sat down in the corner and then put his hand over his LED. Connor had heard the familiar voice of Gavin Reed who had been an asshole to Connor ever since he arrived at the Detroit Police Station. Connor couldn't hear what was being said since he was too worried about hiding. He had ensured that the room looked as if it had been undisturbed while he hid in the closet. Connor was shaking, fear soaring throughout his body. An android feeling pure terror.
