Back at HQ, a dark room in the basement floods with people. "Come on people move! We have five minutes! Five minutes!" Nick Fury's voice rang through the hall. Everyone got in their positions and waited. The doors opened with a loud bang. As they sat Crossbones in a chair, the Avenger team walked in. "Who wants to go first?" Fury asked us as we sat down. "I'll go." I speak up. Everyone turns their heads to me as I stand up and head for the door. I open it and take a seat across from Crossbones. "Mr. Bones." I greet. "Mrs. Dove." His voice is low and gruff. He doesn't even look up at me. "Enjoying your stay?" I ask sarcastically. He leans back in his chair and narrows his eyes. "Look at you! I knew you when you where just a child. I knew you'd take in the steps of your sister and work for SHIELD but when you became a villain, I was prouder than ever. And now your here working with puny mortals." He spats. "They may be puny, but I, on the other hand could take you down with one blow and I'm guessing you already know that because I did." I take a deep breath and continue. "I don't have time your mind games, just get to the point Mr. Bones." He leans forward and rests his forearms on the edge of the table. "Villains were never noticed, never loved, never thought of. We never got our rightful place in the world. We wanted to have what was ours. That's why we become who we are. We aren't evil, we just want attention, that's what we all want. And if we don't have it, then we are forced to want it. We will do anything to get attention. We want to be feared. We want people to kneel before us. We will do anything for our turn as the ruler, as the king. We will even hurt the ones we love. We are dangerous, but not because we chose to be like this. Don't you see it? You were the ones who made us this way, you created the villains. People create their own villains, and they don't even know their doing it. You have all this power around you, and for what? To create more villains? Of course. You would never let us show the real power of things. The real power of life and freedom." I start to clap slowly. "Very nice, did you write it down?" I ask sarcastically. I roll my eyes. "Look I liked your speech, but really? This is stupid! Give me one reason why I should respect that." I say knitting my eyebrows together. "I have the girl." I sigh and roll my eyes. "More specific please." I say annoyed. "What was her name?" He mumbles to himself over and over. An evil smirk spreads across his face. I go stiff and my breathing stops. I think even my heart skipped a beat. He was the one who took her.

Crossbones took Jada

I stand and walk out of the room, stunned. I walk to the bathroom using the walls for support. I make it in the bathroom and lock the door. I sink to the floor and let the tears fall. I bring my knees up to my chest and bury my face in between them. "Are you ok?" I look up and see a lady with dark... purple hair? "Um... yeah I'm fine just..." I pause and take in a shaky breath. "I just got out of interrogating someone. Well I didn't really get out of there, I just ran in here." She takes a seat next to me on the bathroom floor. "Yeah I hate those, too. I remember interrogating someone and they tried to kill me. I've never interrogated someone since." She says with a flash of pain on her face. "Oh." I take deep breaths and calm myself down. "What happened to you?" She asks with concern. "I adopted a girl a few days ago and the man I interrogated told me he had kidnapped her." I say fighting the tears. She wraps a hand around me and rubs my back. "I never got your name." She says softly. I lift my head to look into her eyes. Her eyes are a light hazel color. Very pretty, if I do say so myself. "Um, Diamond Jennalaice Romanoff." I reply. "But people call me Diamond, or Jennalaice, or DJ. Any of those." She laughs as her hand slips away from my back. "My name's Ocean." I smile at her. She has an odd name like me. I'm already starting to like her. "So, Ocean, why are you here? In SHIELD I mean." She sighs before she starts. "Well I'm a mutant, I worked for SHIELD since my parents died." When she said mutant my attention turned to her. "Mutant? Your a mutant?" I asked in awe. "Yeah you?" I sigh. "Well I have powers but I go through this cycle, every five years, when I lose my powers and they regain themselves then I get them back. I lose them for a month, that happens to be this month." I explain. "Oh that's cool." She repositioned herself on the ground as I replied. "Not really I can't do anything!" I say thinking about it. "Shouldn't you be getting back to interrogating?" She asks me. "Oh right." I stand and unlock the door. "It was nice meeting you." I say as I leave the bathroom. "You too! Don't let Mr. Bones get to you!" She calls as I enter the room once again. Wait, how did she know I was interrogating Crossbones?

I shake off the thought as I watch the interrogation. It's Steve's turn. "Why am I here?" Crossbones voice echoes in my mind. "Because we want more knowledge. We want to learn more about you." Steve explains. "If you want to do that, then I suggest you run tests. Wouldn't that be easier?" Crossbones says not looking up. "What would be easier is if you just told us about yourself." Steve narrows his eyes, obviously annoyed at Crossbones' stubbornness. Then it hits me. I walk up to Fury. "Get him out of there." He looks at me surprised and confused. "Why?" His voice is low and soft. "Just trust me on this, get him out." He talks to Steve over the earpiece and tells him to get out. When Steve gets out I go back in. As I take a seat, Crossbones looks up at me. "You again?" He rolls his eyes at me. "Aw I thought you'd miss me." I cross my arms and wait for him to say something. "Why are you here?" He asks not looking at me. "Well we never really finished our conversation earlier." I explain. "You aren't working just with Loki are you?" I ask raising an eyebrow. "Why do you say that?" He asks pretending to be confused. "Oh please." I see him start to smirk. "You met Ocean I'm guessing." His voice is dark and evil. "Yeah I did." He looks up and makes eye contact with me. "What gave her away?" He asks. "It was pretty obvious she was working for you." I say narrowing my eyes. His smirk fades as he looks at me. "Well of course I wouldn't just work with Loki." I roll my eyes. "Well for a villain as stupid as you, yeah you would. Its just you, Loki, and Ocean, against eight of Earth's mightiest superheroes. Or as some people like to call us: The Avengers."
