n. a place in which you could disappear, a hiding place❧
"It's really none of your business," she muttered not even caring if he could hear her or not. Immediately, she tore herself from his hold. Turning around, advancing towards the door, her movements came to halt when his hand wrapped around her wrist. He was pulling her in closer to his rock hard body.
"I'm going to ask you again," she could feel his lips lightly brush her ear as he spoke. "Where the hell do you think you are going?" He asked lowly and deep as if it were a growl.
She couldn't hide the fact that she shivered. Her entire body just quivered at the close promixty and the slight scent of mint on his breath. "Home."
"Home? You are home," he muttered. The tingles that shot through her body was evident as he pushed her hair behind her ear.
"I mean my r-real home," she stuttered out nervously. She wanted to kick herself for being so nervous. He was just her stepbrother, and he shouldn't be making her feel so awkward. Thanks to the amount of awkwardness she had already been cursed with at a young age, it didn't really help.
"Real home?" he chuckled out, darkly. "Tell me, Orabella, do you truly have a home or is your only home buried in a grave?"
She looked down at the floor. The once bright memories she had with her father slowly tarnished into a darkness she never expected. Tearing herself from his grip, she ran back up the stairs as tears began to make their way out of her eyes. He was right in a way, she was homeless both mentally and physically.
She walked into the bedroom that she was given, and closed the door behind her. The day was nothing short of emotional for her. Not only was it her father's funeral, but it was also the day she walked into hell. She should've known her mother was up to no good. Whenever she left as a young child, she should've never returned.
Now, her mother is married to some rich man. She has an insane stepbrother along with a crazy stepfather. Not to mention, her mother is just as much of a lunatic.
She was left confused.
Swimming around in her thoughts, she was muddled. Her face showed nothing, but the perplexed thoughts swimming around in her head. The door opened, quickly, it grabbed her attention as she looked over at the intruder.
Vincenzo walked in wearing a devilish smirk on his face. He leaned back against the door with crossed arms. "I wasn't expecting you to run off."
She resisted the urge to roll her eyes as she rolled over on her bed to face the wall, her gaze going opposite to him. Her body could feel his eyes on her as she stared at nothing, but the wall. "I just want to be left alone, please."
Orabella waited for the sound to echo through her ears-alerting her that he had left the room, but the sound never came. She sat up in her bed with bloodshot eyes only to meet his hard blue eyes of steel. He dripped with absolutely no emotion as if he were some type of psychopath.
They stayed like that for a second. Letting the awkwardness of the atmosphere envelope their entire bodies through a gaze. She finally snapped her eyes away from his intense orbs.
"Just kill me," she whispered.
He didn't seem shocked by her words. It was kind of like he expected those exact words to go flying out of her mouth. The silence in the room was killing her, until his fake laugh bounced off the bedroom walls that seemed to be closing in.
