This book is in the Watty Awards 2012 so make sure you vote if you love this story! Every vote and comment counts towards me getting a high rank in the Awards. Only had less than four hours sleep today but I decided to update Fading because it is getting to the good bit and I decided to add a bit of drama to this story :)

Katy’s POV:

“Louis?” I asked surprised. Him and Lacey were on the floor, looking at some paperwork as I came into the room.

“Me and Lacey were discussing something,” He smirked, getting up. I smiled as he motioned for me to go into one of the private rooms.

On the floor were candles shaped like a rose and the lighting was dark. The bed was warm and as I lay down on the bed, Louis handed me a rose.

“I’m sorry,” he cried, holding my hand. “I’ve been so horrible to you,”

“It’s okay,” I said forgiving him. As much as I hated arguing with him, I was glad we were back to normal.

“Are you guys okay in there?” Lacey called as I heard scissors.

“Yes!” Me and Louis said in unison as we smiled. I got off the bed and walked into the main room where Lacey had started putting on her jacket.

“Lace, what were you discussing?” I asked, placing my hands on my hips.

She shook her head. “Nothing,” I could tell she was lying.

“Liar,” I spat. She shrugged, shifting her bag on her shoulder.

“I can’t tell you,” she sighed, heading out of the door as Louis came into the main room. I faced him so he would stop.

“Louis, what were you and Lacey doing earlier?” I asked curiously. He scratched the back of his head nervously.

“I can’t tell you, you’ll find out soon,” and with that he locked the door. He placed the key on the table and started to face me.

“Are you ready?” He asked. Ready for what? What was he going to do?

“For what?” He pulled me away from me and sighed.

“You know,” he waved his arms about. Wait, was this about sex?

“Um…” I trailed, trying not to think too much about it. As much as I loved Louis, was I ready for all of this? He must have been waiting ages for this.

“I’m ready,” I told him, trying not to focus on anything else. I gulped as me and Louis went into the bedroom and I sighed as he kept asking if I was okay. I nodded and he did it.

“Did you actually?” Jade gasped as she tried not to say that word out loud in the cafeteria. I nodded and she grinned from ear to ear.

“Do what?” Lacey asked, placing her drink down on the table. Why did Lacey have to come in later? I wasn’t going to explain everything.

“Her homework, Mr Jayr set it last week,” Jade pitched in. I sighed, phew.

“That’s dead easy,” Lacey boasted as the school bell rang. I threw away my rubbish and headed for the door when something or someone pushed against me.

“Fuck,” I heard them swear as they walked off. As I walked into Maths, my phone beeped. Weird, everyone on my contacts know that I’m at school since I updated my status on Inform:You (made up)

It was from Niall.

Dear Lacey,

After Louis dropped you home last night, he was brutally stabbed and is unfortunately in hospital. He misses you a lot.

Niall x

Louis was stabbed? Why didn’t I know this before?

As I approached the door for Maths, Jade appeared behind me.

“You look pale,” she stated as we walked in. I was, Louis was stabbed and I wasn’t informed until the next day!

“I’m fine,” I shrugged, sitting down on the second to last chair in class. Class was boring as the clock went by, all Mrs Casey spoke about was how we were improving and that we were getting better grades than the year thirteen last year.

As I packed up my books, I realised something. Tom was meant to be waiting for me near the school gates which I disapproved heavily. Ever since our make out session, I haven’t faced in because I walked it to school than rather face him.

“Hey,” he smiled as I reached his car. His eyes were filled with delight as I stepped into his car.

“I heard Louis got stabbed,” My eyes shot up. How did he know? I checked the latest news sources and they didn’t mention anything to keep Louis’s privacy.

“I passed through the place he got stabbed and the police were there,” He knew I would ask him that. Because of all the silence in the car, I fell asleep and didn’t realise that my mother was violently shouting in my ear to wake me up.

“Get up!” She shouted, tugging my arm. I groaned and rubbed my eyes as I received another text. This time it was from Harry.

Louis is in emergency surgery right now but you can visit any time. He’s at Kings College hospital in the critical ward.

Harry :)x

There was one problem, how would I get to the hospital? I knew how to drive but I didn’t have a car and Tom wasn’t going to give me a ride so I’ll have to walk it.

“Where are you going?” my mother asked as I turned the other direction to face the driveway.

“To Jade’s?” I stammered. She frowned but then smiled.

“Be back before ten okay?”

“Yep,”

I checked the directions from Surrey to Kings College Hospital and it turns out that it is more than fifty two minutes so walking wasn’t an option. I sighed and decided to ring Jade.

“Jade, can I get a lift to Kings College Hospital?”

“I was on my way actually but I’ll pick you up in five,”

I hung up and switched off my phone while I waited for Jade. The amount of time that it took to see Louis was so long but it was worth it. I cried when I reached the hospital.

“It’s okay,” Jade assured me as we darted between wards.

Whoever did this to Louis was going to pay, big time.
