Fading [1D Fanfic]

Katy's POV

“Louis, wake up!” I nudged him as I sat myself up on the bed. I rubbed the sleep off my eyes as Louis mumbled.

“What?” He asked, rubbing his eyes too. I smiled, helping him get up. I realised the time, it was nine am.

“Louis, its nine am!” I shouted as he sat himself up. I got out of the bed, pushing the duvet covers off me and fixing the covers. Louis followed suit, walking to the bathroom as I switched on the TV.

“One Direction are splitting up...” I heard the TV say as I sat down, intrigued to hear what she was saying.

“Harry Styles is reportedly launching a solo career,” she finished. I got up, confused at what she said. Why were they splitting up for? They were best friends and besides Louis hadn’t mentioned anything and he had a gig tonight with the band, how were they splitting up?

I heard the shower switch off, meaning that Louis was getting out of the bathroom.

“Louis, are One Direction splitting up?” I asked, sadly. He frowned at me, seating me on the bed.

“A break, not a split!” He shouted.

“For how long?” I asked.

“A few months because Simon wants us to see if we can crack it as solo artists.” He explained in full detail.

“And this is starting when? Or has started?”

“Last week,”

“And your gig is with who?”

“Myself, it’s a solo,” he said nervously. He’d obviously be nervous; he hadn’t performed in a gig solo before.

I kissed him lightly and walked into the shower. After a few minutes, I heard Louis talk to Simon on the phone.

“Yeah it’s fine,”

“I’ll see you tonight Si. Bye!”

I didn’t want to earwig but he was keeping secrets from me and I deserved to know what they were.

I got out of the shower, drying my hair and leaving it loosely.

“Hey,” Louis said, looking up.

“Hi,”

“Here’s your ticket for the gig tonight,” he said handing me a ticket. I thanked him by giving him a long kiss and hugging him tight.

Then his phone beeped.

“It’s Simon, he wants to meet the boys and me at 11am so I’ll drop you off right now,” he said, holding his phone and car keys. We walked down to reception where he handed the manager the keys and paid the bill. She insisted he didn’t have to pay so he told them to give it to their ‘donation box’.

We walked over to his car when he opened the door for me.

“You don’t have to,”

“I know but I want to,”

I smiled, blushing too much.

The journey wasn’t long but I kind of wished it wasn’t, I wouldn’t see much of Lou today since he was going to be at his gig but I would see him tomorrow right?

He put on the handbrake making sure the car wasn’t going to roll off backwards and took me home.

“Bye baby girl,” he kissed me passionately on the front porch. My mum was just about to arrive when I broke off the kiss.

“I’ll see you,” He waved off and walked into the car. He drove off and I waved to him, walking inside.

I couldn’t believe it, he was mine.

This chapter was short because the main bit is coming next, two chapter in one day or one chapter and one extended version :P. 1D haven’t split in my story, their on a break and it will bring tension and suspense to the story and make it more interesting.
