The day you left

Chapter1:first sights

After being in the same group home for almost two years it gets lonely not being able to touch or even make ANY contact you start to wonder "is this what life is all about?" But nevertheless I'm strong enough to get though the day.

Today is the day we meet our new house parents and I'm literally the only left everyone else either went home , into a foster home or adopted unlike me who's sick here. I just got off the bus and finished my snack when I hear the doorbell ring and this lady walks in and see me. My voice apparently not working because I can't seem to say anything but "yeees." Shakily,will not my best move. She ask me where the house parents are and I point in the kitchen where they were standing and she thanks me and heads toward "bosses" of the place. I leave the dining room and go to my room and stare at the outside and let my imagination go wild and within a few moments later I hear a knock on my door and see all 3 of them staring at me and I do the same to them until mrs.T starts to speak " Scarlett this is one of the new workers here be nice." And the mysterious women steps forward and clears her throat "hi I'm Ms.Nicole" I nod to acknowledge her and go back to what I was doing and they left shortly after complaining about my room and how "sad " it look "well look where I am" I mumble under my breath. I must of dozed off I look at the time I see it's almost dinner so I hop in the shower to miss out cause I'm not hungry and the house parents are out on a date night lucky them they can leave and it's only me and me. Nicole which I do not need to keep embarrassing myself in front of her so I'll stay in my room so I start the shower turning it all the way on hot and wrap a towel around me ; and I go to my room for some shorts and a tank top when I feel a set of eyes watching me. I ignored and continue with my shower and I walk past her and into the bathroom as crack the door and step into the shower as I feel the steam around me my body relaxes a few moments later I hear this loud banging and I turn the shower off and step out as I was finishing up and walk and wrap a towl around my hair and body asi open the door "you knocked ??" She reply's " yeeahh dinners ready when you want I didn't know what to cook so I ordered zaxbys I hopes that's ok?" All soft and quiet like she was scared like she was going to brake me right then and there. So I start getting dressed as I brought my clothes with me yet she never walked away just watched me and as I trun around she sees all my scars,bruises, burns, and fresh cuts. She immediately looks down and walks away. "I think I scared her oh well 😔 as I walk to the dining room I see a whole buffet of zaxbys and I look at her and ask who all she's feeding and she does this small giggle and it just warmed my heart ♥️ as she says with more confidence " I didn't know what you liked so .. tada" so I get a plate with her right behind my and I slowly start to put small pieces of chicken and some fries with there famous Zax Sauce I find a seat out of 15 others and I look over and she one seat over so I start a conversation "how long have you worked with the system?" She looks at me dumbfounded and states " I just do this for volunteer work" "so you what feel bad for the kids with fucked up parents so you can feel better about yourself?" Starting to get angry as she quickly Shakes her head no saying " I do it to hopefully change the path your on like rn do you wanna know what I see?" Sure let's see if your even close .." you think the world is out to get you so let's get yourself before they do am I right?". "Your not wrong if that what your asking but it's true. But whatever good night cause I knew they would be out all night til morning she folles me to my room and I turn around as she starts to speak " hey I'm..."and I slam the door right in her face as. I slide down the door with tears ring down my cheeks I hear the bathroom door opening forgetting it was a joint bedroom-bathroom and I keep my head down as I try to stop crying she sits beside me and holds me when I finally gain composure I look up at her and I noticed this little twinkle her eyes do and as a single tear rolled down her cheek I go to wipe it and she grabs my wrist and whispers in my ear " you need to stop while your ahead." Ms.Nicole stands up and stretch's her arm down picking me up off the ground she wraps her arms around me and pulls me closer as I feel her kiss my cheek as she walks away I go to my bed and fall asleep the tears welling up in my eyes as as fall asleep.
