Chapter4:

I was getting ready when I heard the new girls arguing about something so I go in the and told the to knock it out and I had back to my room finish up cleaning and off to school I went once I got there I went to my locker and put my stuff inside and took out my ID and I go sit in the common area I the middle of the school as I have my earbuds in not bothering anyone I feel a paper ball thrown at me as I don't even choose to open it I ignore it and another one this time with a pencil so I open it as it read —you know dogs belong at the pound — I look back only do me to have someone's coffee and cereal poured over my head I head to the bathroom as I walk in some of the "fakes" snickering in the corner as I was in I head to the sink and start to pick out the cereal out of my hair look like lucky charms and as I'm grabbing my things to head to the shower to wash my hair and change clothes I'm am cornered by all of them as on take my bag and another take my jacket I'm pushed into the bathroom as I try to fight back and scream I'm down an my knees and my face I in the bowl as I try to fight back all I feel is them kicking me and spitting on my like I'm trash and will maybe I am. I stop resisting them and soon everything around be started to turn back and I slip into darkness I wake up to sirens and a male talking "stay with me sweetie" but I'm unable to open my eyes I feel up stop as the gurney is lowered I'm rushed into the er I try and say my name but nothing and I can do is listen oh great.

The house parents came and the doctor told them that " due to my condition I'm in a coma and they don't know when I'll wake up or if so I guess if you really look at it it my choice. They stay and talk to me mostly the mother but nothing real kind jus "get better or this will be a lot of paper work" like that's what matters right now paperwork well at least she did say one good thing the church is going on a missionary and they volunteer so nicole will handle things I fall back asleep for I don't know how long I feel something on my hand I flinched and i hear her call out my name "scarlet are you awake? I began to open my eyes and I see an angel. As all I remember is be cold and sad it was dark their was no light at the end. The doctors and nurses come in and ask me all these questions asking about my name ,birthday ect... when all is done there going to keep me a few days just to be sure. It just me and Nicole I look in her beautiful grey eyes and has this face of confusion I ask her what's wrong she says " you worried all of us I didn't know if you were gonna make it thew. And your case worker stoped by and to call her when you wake up. But could you tell me it's up to you."
I take a deep breath " I was at school when these kids were throwing papers balls at me calling me a dog! I start to get angry 😤 A FUCKING DOG really so I turn around and coffee and lucky charms because my day was going so good so I walk to the bathroom and try and get all the cereal out of my head as I'm about to leave there was a group of girls aka the fakes and basically jumped me;but let me guess I started it some how?" " I'm not sure they only said that your were I gotta the hospital so when they did a MRI,CT they seen fluid in the abdomen and dehydration as they get me ready for surgery Nicole is back. "I didn't tell them about all of your "lines"." I'll probably be at home by the time you get out. Before they poor me under I grab her Hand "please...don't ...leave." As I see her walk away with tears in her eyes my heart hurts for her my BP starts to drop I start feeling light headed as I pass out they can't seem to find a pulse. Everything around my is black as I hear the muffled voices from the doctors and nurses. As I begin to try and open my eyes I come to find out that I can't and I hear voices around me one is the doctor, another I hear my caseworker asking what happened as the doctor is telling her I hear her voice. The voice of an angel as I feel her concern and sadness's can't do anything but listen as my caseworker rubs my head and whispers in my ear "please wake up scarlet. Don't give up like your parents did you still have your little brother and sister who look up to you." With that she's gone and I feel all alone until I I hear Nicole's voice ring though my mind as I'm pulled back into my memories of the first time I met my moms boyfriend/ dealer."...
