Rebekah felt the stake sink into the hardwood next to Andrew's head.

She stayed still for a few moments, breathing heavily, looking into Andrew's eyes.

He was terrified. Tears stained his cheeks and his eyes were rimmed red.

The fact that it was all due to Rebekah, almost broke her heart in half.

She couldn't kill Andrew. She wouldn't.

She stood up and paced the room. She could finally make words into what Josh was saying.

"I will kill you! I trusted you! To think that I was trying to help you! Andrew looked up to you! He loved you!"

"Shut up!" Rebekah screamed, pacing faster.

"Why? So you don't have a guilty conscience? You're a monster!" Josh yelled, as Rebekah noticed the tears brimming his eyes.

In the thousand years Rebekah had been alive, she had been called many names, but to hear the one name she despised refer to her, crushed her.

No one had ever called her a monster.

She had heard demon, witch, cursed, evil, and many others, but everyone always saved monster for Niklaus.

"I am not a monster." Rebekah whispered.

"You are going to kill two innocent people! One of which is a damn child!" Josh yelled.

What was she doing? Rebekah's main rule was to never kill a child. They were innocent.

"I am not going to kill him or you." She said, turning to Emeline, "Do a blood spell on them."

Emeline had learned long ago to not argue with Rebekah.

She quickly gathered a bowl and some herbs.

Rebekah walked over to Josh with a knife.

"Give me your hand, I need your blood." She said, gesturing for him to stand up.

"No. Why would I do that?" Josh yelled, standing up and looking into her eyes menacingly.

"Look, if you want to fight, we can, but I am a thousand years older than you and I guarantee I will win. Now, do you want to live or not?" Rebekah said, gripping the knife tighter.

Josh flared his nose in anger before sticking his hand out.

Emeline walked over with the bowl of grinded herbs as Rebekah cut Josh's hand. He squeezed his hand into a fist, the blood pouring into the bowl. The cut healed itself quickly and Rebekah walked towards Andrew.

"I swear I won't tell anyone about anything! I promise! I swear!" Andrew cried, tears streaming down his face.

Rebekah sat in front of him, legs criss-crossed and looked into his eyes.

"Andrew, stop crying." Rebekah said, compelling him.

He immediately stopped crying and stayed still, eyes locked with Rebekah.

"I swear, I am sorry. I don't want to hurt you. I am only trying to do the right thing. I have to protect Hope over everything. I have too. Don't be scared. I am going to cut your hand, but it will heal really fast. It won't hurt." Rebekah compelled, putting her hand comfortably on his face, a motherly gesture.

Andrew smiled and stuck out his hand.

Rebekah cut it quickly.

"Now squeeze your hand together." She said, wrapping her hand around his and squeezing gently.
