I didn't know if you guys noticed, but I changed the name of the story. I feel like it should not only be about Rebekah and Hope, but also about Klaus, Hayley, and Elijah. I will be switching the two a lot more often now, and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. BTW I am sorry this one is kind of short, but I wanted to get you something.
************
Rebekah, frightened by the beastly thunder outside of her house, was breathing heavily.
She began crying, pulling the blanket up to her chin.
Klaus looked over and saw his baby sister crying and he crawled over to her.
"Hush now. It's just a storm." He said, putting his hand on Rebekah's arm and squeezing reassuringly, "Don't be afraid. I won't let it hurt you."
Rebekah smiled at her older brother and Klaus turned around.
"Nik don't go!" She whisper yelled frantically.
Klaus reached into his basket under his bed and pulled something out before crawling back over to Rebekah and handing her the small wooden toy.
"I carved it for father. It's a brave knight. Now you can be brave too." Klaus said, smiling at his baby sister.
"Will you stay with me until the storm ends?" Rebekah asked hopefully.
Klaus grabbed her hand and held it tightly.
"I will always stay with you Rebekah, no matter what." He said smiling.
Rebekah jolted from her bed, ripped out of her dream memory by the pattering rain and thunder rumbling outside her new house.
Hope was crying loudly from her crib.
Rebekah pushed the covers off of her, suddenly feeling hot, and got out of her bed, walking to Hope's room.
Hope had small tears flowing from her eyes onto her overly, red from crying, face.
Rebekah picked her up and rocked her slightly, murmuring comforting words to her.
"I will always stay with you Hope. No matter what." Rebekah whispered, mimicking her brothers words from her adolescent memory.
Elijah slowly got out of his bed, careful not to wake the sleeping beauty next to him.
"Elijah." Hayley said from the bed, her eyes still closed.
"Well I was attempting not to wake you, but I see that did not work." Elijah said, smiling so slight that normal human eyes would not catch it.
"I want her back." Hayley said, sniffling lightly and opening her eyes which were red around the edges from crying.
Elijah's barely there smile was replaced with a slight frown.
"We will get her back." He said, walking over to his dresser.
