Rebekah was sitting on the floor, legs criss-crossed, playing with Hope.
She had gotten so strong, but it was still only human strong. She just turned five months old. Hope could hold up her own head, roll over, and sit up. Right now, she was playing, gripping blocks and then throwing them lightly.
Rebekah and Josh had decided that Josh's house would be a better one to live in, due to it being larger.
They had moved Rebekah and Hope's clothes and other items they needed.
"Now that we live in the same house, are you and daddy going to get married?" Andrew asked.
Regardless of him being a vampire, and able to enter people's minds, he was still only a six year old little boy. He was innocent.
"No, I don't think so, your daddy is very mad at me right now. But this is all rubbish compared to talking about your birthday! Little man turns six tomorrow!" Rebekah said, smiling widely and tickling Andrew.
He fell into a fit of giggles. Hope, who was watching the entire thing, began giggling too. It was adorable.
Suddenly, Rebekah stopped her torturous tickling and looked Andrew in the eyes worriedly.
"What?" Andrew asked, becoming worried himself.
"Do you have gray hair yet?" Rebekah said, causing Andrew to giggle again.
"I am not a hundred!" Andrew said, rubbing his eye.
"You ready for baseball, Andrew?" Josh asked, holding Josh's baseball uniform in his hands.
Andrew ran towards Josh and grabbed his baseball uniform, running away yelling something like yes, but it was muffled.
Rebekah turned around, losing her smile, and playing with Hope again.
She could feel Josh staring at her. He was angry. Very angry.
"How did you compel Andrew?" Josh asked, walking into the living room and sitting down in a chair in front of where Rebekah sat on the floor.
"You are a vampire, you know how compulsion works." Rebekah said, trying to avoid answering the question.
"Vampires can't compel other vampires, so how did you?" Josh asked, crossing his arms.
Rebekah looked up and into his eyes. Somewhere deep inside of her wanted to tell Josh everything, and honestly, he couldn't betray her, so screw it.
"My brothers and I are the original vampires. I was born in the year 995, and turned in 1012. I was only seventeen. Technically, I am only seventeen, but anyone in their right mind would realize that regardless of my teenage physicality, I am over a thousand years old. Our mother was a witch, and after our youngest brother's death, completely afraid for our safety. She made a spell for life without our knowing. That night, my father let us drink wine. We had no idea it was laced with blood from a villager. After we drank it, we went to sleep, and I woke up in chaos. I had been stabbed dead by my father when I slept and when I awoke, he forced me to drink a woman's blood in order to transition. My brothers and I became the first vampires in existence. Every vampire ever created is in one of our bloodlines. If one of us dies, so do every vampire in our bloodline. I can let you see it. It would be easier for you to understand if you allow me to show you. It will only take a few seconds." Rebekah said, fiddling with the blocks on the floor.
Josh nodded and sat down beside Rebekah on the floor. Rebekah put her hands gently on the sides of Josh's head and closed her eyes, Josh closing his also.
Josh suddenly saw a small girl, probably six, playing with some older boys. It was Rebekah and her brothers. She was happy.
