A/N: So because ConvertedtoLoki guesses the title right, she gets a one shot! AU!Benedict so I hope you enjoy it and make sure to comment, rate, and all that fun stuff. This was inspired by my shitty night tonight so I hope you guys don't mind me doing this. Love ya huggy-bears.

I groaned and sat down on the ledge as people around me talked, drank, and danced. Honestly, what is the point of going to these type of parties? All that ends up is shit being broken, people getting sick from alcohol intake, or the cops raiding. I sipped my water and let out a sigh as I continued sitting in the back. Why did my cousin convince me into this? Oh yeah, because I owed her for copying off her homework for our class in college. I looked around and laid eyes on a tall guy leaning against the wall adjacent from me. He had curly black hair and pale skin that contrasted. His cheekbones were so sharp I felt like I could cut my hand from just hitting his face. Of course, I wouldn't do that but if I did, it probably would happen. I snapped back to reality when I noticed that he was staring right back at me with these intense blue eyes. I felt my face grow warm as I looked the other way quickly. My cousin wobbled over to me in her giant black heels and yelled over the music,

"HAVING FUN COUSIN?" I shrugged and yelled back,

"I GUESS BUT HEY, DO YOU KNOW WHO THAT GUY IS," I asked motioning to the blue eyed beauty, "I CAUGHT HIM LOOKING AT ME AND I THINK HE'S CUTE." She looked over and giggled slightly,

"HIS NAME IS BENEDICT. BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH AND I BELIEVE HE IS IN THE DRAMA CLUB." I nodded and looked over at him again quickly. He wore a white polo shirt, black trousers, and bright blue converse.

"YOU SHOULD TOTALLY TALK TO HIM AND BESIDES HE KEEPS ON LOOKING AT YOU. I TOLD YOU THAT THIS DRESS LOOKS AMAZING ON YOU," she said motioning to the emerald green mini dress she lent me. I shrugged and she called out her friends name then wobbled back to her. I chuckled and continued watching the party unfold.

A little while later, I heard someone clear their throat from my side. I turned around and saw Benedict with two cans of soda.

"Hi. Uh, I saw that you finished your soda and I wanted to give you some more... I mean you don't need to accept it and it's not like I was stalking you or anything but I-I thought you'd want a drink," he said blushing hard as he extended his hand out. I took it and smiled sweet.

"Thank-you very much, I was about to get up to get some but I'm glad you noticed," I said.

"Uh I'm Benedict but people call me Ben. And you," he asked running his hand through his curly hair. Was he nervous to talk to me? I told him my name and he responded,

"That's a beautiful name for a beautiful young woman." I smiled and motioned for him to sit next to me. He slid into the seat and I asked,

"You don't dance much? Or are you just too cool for dancing?" He chuckled and responded,

"I like dancing and normally I would be tearing up the dance floor but, I recently got injured so I am laying off the dance."

"What happened? If you don't mind me asking," I said.

"I was practicing for a role in drama club with my friend Tom. Anyway, the scene required sword skills and I am not skilled in the art of the sword unlike my friend. We were running a few moves and I twisted my ankle," he explained lifting up his right foot.

"Oh I'm so sorry that happened. I remember I had to use crutches when I broke my leg and honestly, it was hell," I said. Ben smiled sweetly and said,

"Thankfully no crutches needed but ice and relaxation. To be honest, I didn't even want to come but Tom dragged me out. I'm not much of a party person and he is."

"Same thing with me and my cousin," I replied pointing to her on the dance floor, "She loves parties whereas I rather be reading or writing."

"Then why are you not reading or writing," he asked taking a sip of his soda.

"I owed her a favor and that was to actually go out to a party. So far, most of it has been pretty sucky," I said.

"Oh really," Ben asked. I chuckled a bit and said,

"Not all of it, Ben but most of it. I am glad I got to talk to you though." He perked up and said,

"Well, you looked like you needed some company. Oh look there is Tom with your cousin and I think they're grinding on each other," Benedict said. I laughed as my cousin made an attempt at trying to grind in her high heels and not fall over.

"What are you laughing about," Ben asked chuckling.

"She... she looks so funny trying to dance it's like a giraffe," I said between breaths.

"You have a really funny laugh," Benedict said laughing a bit.

"Oh shut up, everyone tells me they love it but I hate it so much," I said. Ben shook his head and replied,

"It's what makes you unique so don't ever change it." He looked down at his watch and I said sarcastically,

"Damn Ben. If you really don't like spending time with me you can leave." Ben looked up at my smirking face and said,

"Oh but it's quite the opposite, my dear. You see, I rather be spending time with you than here. I actually rather be spending time with you somewhere more quiet where I could actually hear your soft, sweet voice." I was taken aback by what he said. My soft sweet voice? He HAD to be joking. I saw him stand up and I stood up after.

"Are you leaving," I asked a bit sad. Pull it together! You just met him and you don't wanna sound desperate.

"Yeah I am all partied out. I am going to say my Good byes and probably head down to this coffee place called Books and Books. I don't suppose... you'd want to join me," he asked putting his hands in his pockets and biting his lip softly. I looked at my cousin dancing wildly on the dance floor then back at Ben. His eyes looked so hopeful and honestly, would I ever get this chance again?

"Let me first say bye to my cousin," I said grabbing my purse from the seat, "Meet you at the front door?"

"I guaranteed you will see me there," he said. We parted ways and I went to my cousin and told her that I was leaving with Benedict. She was my ride anyway and she had only one drink so I trusted that she would be able to get home okay. Before I left, she hugged me tight and whispered,

"Use protection, alright." I pulled away from her embraced and exclaimed,

"We're not going to do that, ya nasty! We're going to go to a cafe that's more quiet so stop your nasty fantasizing." She pat my butt shooing me away and I met up with Ben.

"Ready to go," he asked opening the front door.

"I was born ready," I said walking out with him by my side. You know maybe parties weren't so bad after all...
