Tom and I bounded towards the Cat wing hand in hand as we passed barking dogs. I felt bad for the ones not getting adopted and wished I could just take them all but I had no space. The good thing is that his shelter is a no kill shelter so they won't euthanize the animals unless it was grave circumstances.

"Are you alright love," Tom asked stroking his thumb on my palm, "what's on your mind?"

"It's just sad to see some of these animals behind the cages with no home and I just wish I could save them all but I know that I can't take them all. I'm just hoping they find a forever home," I said kneeling down to pet one of the cats. It meowed and rubbed it's orange coat against my hand as I stroked his fur.

"I know that you wish to help them all but you are helping them by adopting two animals," Tom said pulling me into a hug, "You saved a dog and we are about to save a cat and give them their forever home." I nodded and said,

"You're right, Tom. Thank you and thanks for letting me get a dog."

"Well of course I will let you get a dog! I want you to be happy and when you're happy I'm happy." I sneezed to the side and rubbed my itchy nose. The allergies were starting to kick in from all of the cat hair around us. Tom handed me a Kleenex and I took it blowing my nose and wiping my eyes.

"Do you want to wait in the waiting room while I look around," he asked me.

"No I want to be with you when you pick the kitty out. I will be fine don't worry," I said blowing my nose again. Tom nodded and started to look at the kittens as we walked through the wing.

"This one is adorable," he said picking one of the kittens, "and look he has a little pink nose! How cute is that! I love how his coat is all white but his paws have black boots."

"He is a cutie," I agreed as I stroked the soft head. The kitten let out a soft mew and Tom giggled in delight as he held the little bundle of joy.

"Can we get him," Tom asked as the kitten clawed it's way to his shoulder and sat there. I laughed, took a picture with my cell and said,

"Of course we can, Tom. He seems like a little playful thing and he seems to really like you." Tom kissed the kittens pink nose and it let out a small mew as we walked to the front office and a volunteer took the kitten away so they can prepare him to come home. After we paid and signed all the papers necessary, Belle came out on a leash and the kitten was in a cat carrier. I looped the red leash through my hand and Tom carried the cat carrier as we walked to the black Jaguar. Belle jumped in the back seat once the door opened and Tom placed the carrier on the floor. We got in, strapped on our belts, and drove home.

"Have you decided on a name for the kitten," I asked as Tom drove. He chuckled slightly and said,

"Yes. Yes I have and I believe it will fit him perfectly because of his coat colors. I am going to name him Hook and in Captain Hook." I chuckled and said,

"That's a really cute name for him and I see where you can get the reference from." We drove home and settled our new family members at home.
