I jumped up and grabbed the branch tightly then brought myself up. It was a sunny day in Britain, which was so rare, so Benedict and I packed up some food and head to the park for a picnic. Now, I was climbing the tree that we sat underneath because why not? I brought my feet up to the branch and Benedict called out,

"Be careful now, Y/N. I don't want you to fall and hurt yourself." I stuck out my tongue and called back,

"I used to do this when I was growing up, Ben. It's like riding a bike to me so come on up." Ben grabbed the branch and hoisted himself up easily. I continued to climb up the branches until I was at the top of the tree. Ben jumped up and sat down next to me as he started to breath hard.

"Wow I have not done this ever since grade school, I think," Ben said wiping the sweat from his forehead, "Even so, it is still a beautiful view." I nodded and leaned my head against his shoulder.

"It is a very nice sight. I remember that my first kiss was up in a tree," I said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Oh really? Did you enjoy it," he asked with a hint of jealousy. I shook my head and responded,

"At the time I was over the moon but looking back, it honestly was really bad. I mean he was nice but he ended up cheating on me." Ben pressed a kiss on my lips and said,

"Well that guy does not know what he is missing because honestly, you're just wonderful and I am glad you're mine." I smiled and pecked his lips.

"As long as you are mine as well." We shared a sweet kiss and I swore I heard something snap. I pulled away from Ben's sweet kiss and said,

"Did you hear that? It sounded like a bit of a snap?"

"Nah it's probably your imagination, Y/N. Don't worry I won't let you fa-" Benedict didn't finish his sentence because the branch under us gave out and we started to fall. I felt him grab my arm and he hung onto another branch with his other hand.

"OH MY GOD," I exclaimed as I kicked my feet in the air. I was suspended from the tree what seems about 10 feet when it probably was shorter than that. Regardless of the height, if we were to fall there would be bones broken or bruises left.

"Do not let go," I instructed Ben, "Whatever you do. DON'T. LET. GO." Ben hoisted me up and I placed my free hand next to his.

"Do you think I will ever let you go, Y/N," he asked wrapping his free arm around my waist, "Hang onto me I am going to let us go but if we fall in a rough spot I don't want you hurt."

"I don't want you hurt either," I said trying to regain my control. My hand was getting sweaty and thus, starting to slide off the branch.

"Y/N. Grab onto me right now before you foal down and hurt yourself," Benedict said sternly. I looked at him and wrapped my arms around his neck as he hoisted me up with his free arm.

"Okay we're going to drop on three. Ready," he said. I nodded and he counted,

"One, two. THREE." He let go and the wind rushed through my ears and my hair flew up. Ben landed on his feet but the force made us fall over so I was on top of his chest.

"Well at least we're both in a position that we like," Benedict said running his hand through his hair. I looked at him and soon we were laughing. There were no broken bones or bruises just splinters and a hell of a good story.
