Dante's P.O.V.

"We tested her memory but it seems like she only forgets Ms.Okuma. What I suggest you do is show her pictures, objects, something that might trigger her memory." The doctor told me the next day. I nod, looking over at Y/n who is playing with Charm. "Thank you, Doctor Raymer." I stand up and walk over to Y/n.

"Come on Y/n, let's go home." "Finally... I'm sick of this place." I laugh lightly, "I would be too."
Y/n stands up with Charm in her arms,  she follows me out of the hospital and to the car.
I get in the driver's seat and she gets in the passenger seat, Charm curls up in her lap.

"Charm isn't going to get us into a car accident too, right?" I joke, starting the car.
"Haha, very funny." She rolls her eyes with a smile. A comfortable silence blankets us, she pats Charm, running her S/C fingers through Charm's fur. It was weird. I was so very happy to have her back but at the same time, it felt strange to know she lost the memory of someone so very important to her.

From what I could tell they are best friends and have a silent strong connection. The type of connection everyone wished they had with someone. So why...of all people she forgets Pet?


I decide to drop the thought. Y/n can't help forget, it's not her fault so I shouldn't even ask her about it. "I have a question." Y/n breaks my train of thought and our silence. "Hm?"

"What...are we now?" She asks, her E/C eyes looking at me curiously. It makes my heart skip a beat. Heat creeps to my face, I avert my eyes to the road. "Wh-What do you want us to be?" The memory of the kiss we shared in the hospital filled my head. Her lips felt perfect against mine, I melted at her touch. Even her silky voice was enough to make my knees buckle.



"I would like...us to date." She mumbles. I look over at her in surprise. She stares down at her dog in a blushing mess, I smirk at her flustered expression. "Come again?" I tease. "I want us to date..." She speaks a little louder. "Hmmm? I don't think I heard you." She huffs, "I SAID I WANT US TO DATE!" She yells and looks over at me more flustered than before. Charm flinches at the sudden rise in voice. I chuckle, she finally realizes what I was doing. Y/n scoffs and sinks back in her seat. 



"Hehe, sorry Y/n...but you want us to date?" I gulp. This is what I wanted as well...I wanted to be with her, I wanted her to be mine. "I like you, Dante..." She looks at me softly. My heart squeezes. "I like you too Y/n." I say in a quiet voice, "How about we...take things slow?" I propose. Y/n nods with a smile brimming her lips, "I'd like that."

"Me too..." I smile happily and park the car in our driveway. We get out of the car and quickly enter the house. It was dark outside and we were being chased by the bleak air. We scurry into the house slamming the door shut behind us. "Y/n!" Travis rushes over in delight. He hugs Y/n, making me a little upset... but they were friends. It's alright.



"Hello, Travis." Y/n smiles brightly, unable to hug back due to Charm. Travis releases her and looks at me, "What the doctor say?" I start pulling off my shoes and setting them to the side, "He said to show her objects or anything that will trigger her memory." 


Travis nods. "And," I continue, "Pet seems to be the only thing she forgets." I watch Y/n crouch down to let Charm out of her arms. Travis nods again and yawns, "Ok...I'm going to turn in for the night guys. Night." He smiles lightly and walks away to his room upstairs.

"Night." Y/n and I call after him. Tonight would be a happy one for me. I could finally hold Y/n again. She yawns, "I think I'm going to go to bed too..." She rubs her eyes tiredly and starts heading upstairs. "Alright...I will as well." I smile and start going upstairs as well. Charm walks by Y/n's side. We part ways to get changed. 



I dress in a red pyjama top and blue plaid pyjama bottoms. After shuffling into my clothes, I leave my room and knock on Y/n's door. She opens it, "Yes?" "Are you sleeping with me tonight?" She blushes, "Wh-Wha? I was going to sleep in my room actually..."


I felt my heart sink and before she closed the door I say, "Can I sleep in your room then?" I missed her figure in my arms. I missed it so much it hurt. I just needed to feel her next to me. Y/n looks at me surprised but nods and opens the door more for me to enter. I shut it behind me and watch her crawl into her side of the bed. I get next to her and wrap an arm around her. 



Y/n snuggles into my chest, I can feel her soft warm breaths. It relaxes me... I lay back and wrap my other arm around her body pulling her close. "Goodnight..." I mumble. "Goodnight..."
I place a kiss on her forehead and rest my head on hers. My eyes grow heavy, pulling me into darkness and peaceful sleep.



~~TIME SKIP~~

I can hear...muffled screaming... My eyes flutter open and adjust to the outside world. I'm in Y/n's room, the curtains were drawn open so I have the moonlight instead of pitch black. And there...hunched over Y/n sits. Tears run down her face as she screams in agony. Her S/C hands grip at her head, pull at her hair. I fumble to sit up, I wrap my arms around her quickly bringing in close and rubbing her back. "It's ok...It's ok...I'm here..." I mumble softly in hopes to calm her down. She grits her teeth and hiccups. Her shoulders tremble almost violent like.


My mind races and my heart beats fast and loud to where it's almost the only thing I can hear anymore. What was happening?! Why was she in pain?! I couldn't ask her this of course, even if I did I wouldn't get an answer. So Instead I try to keep calm and calm her down.

"I'm here...I'm here..." I squeeze her.

"I'm here..."
