Chapter 7

Your P.O.V.
Dante fell on his face.
"Dante... you ok?" I asked him.
He gave me a thumbs up.
I giggled and helped him up.
"What happened with you and Ethan?" I asked him.
He looked away from me not wanting to speak.
"What?" I asked him.
"He um..." Dante said with a terrified face.
"Tell me on the way home, k?" I asked him.
He nodded.
We got into the car and I started to drive.
"We had a dance battle." Dante said.
"A dance battle!? Ethan is so good at dancing! Why would you accept!!?!" I asked.
"I didn't know that and.... there was a prize... for the winner.." Dante said.
"And the prize was?" I asked raising and eye brow.
"The....the prize was you..." Dante said.
"WHAT!!!?" I screamed making a sharp turn around the corner with the car.
"I didn't want YOU to be the prize but.....I didn't want Ethan to win you.." Dante said.
"Just...just go on with the story.." I said shaking my head.
"The deal was the winner got to hook up with you. But it's not like you would anyway.
But... I didn't want you to be with that guy! I mentioned Lola and he said, 'Who cares!'." Dante said.
"That little bastard!!" I mumbled.
"So.. after the dance battle.. he won and made a new rule which... he got to give me one good punch." Dante said.
"Where'd he punch you?" I asked worried.
He lifted up his shirt to see a really bruised stomach.
"And I thought bruises took two days to actually show a bruise!" Dante said.
"Dannnnnnnngggg........" I said.
I parked the car in the drive way and got out.
Dante got out and we went inside.
Travis sat on the couch, looking depressed.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
He sighed,"I took Pet to a flower field and... there were bees and she's terrified of them." Travis said.
"Oh.. well, she doesn't like fancy things, so... take her to the woods or something. Climb a tree with her and look at the stars. She always loved the stars." I said.
"Yeah... that might actually work!" Travis said.
He jumped off the couch  and started repeatedly bowing.
"THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME THE WAYS MASTER!!" He said.
I giggled and walked upstairs to my room.
This... was a LONG day.
I'm ready to just fall asleep.
I flop on my bed and hear a bark of happiness.
I looked beside me to see Charm.
She layed on one of my pillows.
"Hey girl." I said petting her head.
She licked my hand.
"Your too cute!~" I hummed.
"And...you'll be so awesome! I could totally take you to my job! Shelia would love you!" I said cooing Charm.
There was a knock at the door.
"ILL GET IT!" I heard Travis yell
I continued playing with Charm ungí I heard Travis scream.
I rushed downstairs seeing Shelia squishing Travis's face with her foot.
"Grrrr, your such a perv!" She yelled at him.
"Shelia?" I asked.
She turned to em with her sweet smile, "Y/n!~" she hummed.
"We need you at work ASAP! Damien is busy with our newest dog and the staff is busy trying to get appointments with pet owners." Shelia said.
I cursed under my breath, "Ok, give me a few seconds." I said and ran back up stairs.
I slipped into some shoes and put Charms collar on her.
I held her in my arms and came back down stairs grabbing my purse off the table.
"Ready!" I said.
"Awwww who's this girl?" She asked petting Charm.
"Charm, she lost a leg in a car accident." I said.
"Awww, drivers are so stupid these days!" She said crossing her arms.
"It was my brothers." I sighed.
"oh... idiots!" She said.
I giggled and we walked out.
Dante soon ran out of the door before I got into Sheila's car.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"So not creepy at all... I'm going to work I'll be back don't worry." I said and got in Shelia's car.
Dante nodded sadly and walked back inside.
~~TIME SKIPPPPP~~
I made it to the vet clinic.
YES!
We made it!
I got out of her car and we walked into the clinic.
"Y/n finally your here, we have a patient with their Puppy in room 6!" Seth said.
I nodded and walked into the room, giving Charm to Shelia.
I walked in to see a puppy clawing at the bars of the cage it was placed in.
"Hi there!" I said too the owner, it was a mother and her daughter.
"I'm Dr.L/N!" I said.
"Hi there, I'm Dana this is my daughter Susie." Dana said shaking hands with me.
I smiled at them, "Nice to meet you, now what's this little guys name?" I asked her.
"This is Keith." She said.
I tried my best not to giggle at the name, I always find that name adorable.
"Aha, is this a checkup orrrr?" I asked.
"Well I want to get him clipped." She said.
"Ok! He'll be ready in a few minuets I would advise your daughter to wait outside with you." I said.
She nodded exiting the room.
I took the dog out of the cage.. oh my god... this dog needs a bath, to be brushed and fed! I can literally see it's rib cage.
"Poor boy." I said.
"Imma clean you up!" I said.
~~TIME SKIP~~
I finished clipping the dog. I fed the dog cleaned it and brushed it.
When the mother and daughter returned they looked at me in disgust.
"Why did you clean him?!" She asked.
"She also brushed him, look at his fur!" The daughter scoffed.
"We did not pay for this!" They said.
"Don't worry, there's no extra cost!" I said waving my hands frantically.
"So?" She asked and lift her puppy up pressing him to her stomach.
He was obviously NOT happy with this family.
"Listen, I don't know if this is your first time owning a dog but you need to take care of them." I said sternly.
They glared at me.
"Here, I have a bag with a brush, dog shampoo and some dog treats! No extra cost, have a nice day!" I said and smiled to them.
I handed them the bag, when they left the room.
I was disgusted on how they acted!
Who does that to a PUPPY!?!
My door soon opened and I saw Charm walking!!
"Ohhh! My puppy wuppy!!~" I gushed and patted her head, she layed on her back and I rubbed her tummy.
"She's so sweet! She goes around and greets the patients!" Shelia said and looked down at me and Charm.
"Aww!~" I said staring down at Charm.
"She learned so fast how to walk with three legs it's amazing!" She said.
I smiled, "sweet!" I said.
"So how was your patient?" She asked.
"Awful! It didn't even look like they took care of their puppy." I said.
Shelia had a look of disgust.
"AND they got mad at me when I fed their dog, bathed it and brushed the fur!" I said.
"How dare they!" She growled, crossing her arms.
I shook my head.
Someone sobbing soon stepped through the doors.
A man holding his .. well something covered in a blanket.
"Hi there! I'm Dr.L/N!" I said.
"I'm Hiro..." he sobbed.
"What's the matter?" I asked him.
"M-my cat.." he sniffled.
He layed the blanket on the table.
I slowly looked underneath to see a barely alive cat.
I felt like crying too!
"Dr.Whitehead, would you mind staying?" I asked Shelia.
She nodded closing the door.
"Now tell us what happened." I said, while Shelia rubbed his back.
"S-so I had a fried. Over and it was really hit in my house so we decided to open a window and my cat, Mr.fuzzertin the third clawed the lining thing open and got out.
My friend and I tried to go after the cat but then the cat got stuck in traffic and got hit by two cars.." he sobbed.
Mr.Fuzzertin the third... ok...
"Ok... we'll try our best to keep Mr.Fuzzertin the third alive.." I said, not wanting to say that.
He nodded thanking us and waited outside.
"Ready?" Shelia asked.
I took a deep breathe, "Ready.." I said.
~~TIME SKIP~~
A few hours later we had to break the new to Hiro that Mr.Fuzzertin the third is dead. He said he would burry him and thanked us for what we tried to do..
I'm such a sucky veterinarian! I can't even keep a cat alive..
I sighed, "Don't worry, it got run over by TWO cars there wasn't much we could do." Shelia said placing her hand on my shoulder.
I nodded.
"Yeah.." I said.
Charm rubbed up against my leg and tipped up at me like she was trying to say it was ok.
I smiled at Charm, she was so caring, even if she was just a puppy  and couldn't speak.
"Your shift is over, and you better say hi to Damien. He wants to see you!~" she said nudging my shoulder.
I rolled my eyes and nodded.
I opened the door and left, Charm walked beside me.
"You wanted to see me?" I asked Damien.
He whirled around with a defeated look on his face, "you ok?" He asked.
"Yeah I'm just tired.. and I wanted to see if you were free tomorrow." He said.
"Yeah I am why?" I asked.
Hoping it won't be anything about love, and my prayers were answered.
"I need you to take a double shift at work, we're low on staff that day." He said.
I sighed and nodded, "Got it! I'll be going now!" I said.
"Wait!" He said.
I turned around and looked at him.
"I also wanted to know if you would go on a date with me on Saturday.." he said blushing.
Dammit.
"Uh.." is all I could say.
I didn't want to hurt his feelings!!!
What should I say!?!?
I bit the insides of my cheeks,"I'm not sure if I'm free, let me check!" Is what I wished I said.
"Sure!" I said.
He smiled brightly at me, "Awesome! I'll pick you up at your place at 6:30 pm!" He said.
"Ok, I moved somewhere else, I'll text you the address." I said.
He nodded and smiled widely.
"See you then!" He said and turned back to what he was doing.
I nodded and walked outside holding Charm.
I waited in the car for Shelia.
A few minuets later she walked toward the car and got in.
"Sooo what he ask?" She asked.
"He wanted to know if I could work a double shift tomorrow.. and to go on a date with him Saturday.." I mumbled the date part.
"OH MY IREAN!!! NO WAY!!" She said.
"What did you say?!" She asked.
I buried my face into my puppy's fur, "Yes.." I sighed.
She screamed and giggled if excitment.
I've known Damien all my life.  He's a great friend but I'm not sure I want a relationship with him.
~~YES ANOTHER TIME SKIPPPP~~
I waved bye to Shelia, she drove off I let Charm walk beside me as I opened the door to the house.
Dante sat on the couch, he turned his head toward me and smiled. I closed the door behind Charm and I.
"Soo how was your job?" He asked.
"Well... I cleaned up a dog  and a cat died.." I said and frowned.
"Awww poor Cat!" He said with sadness in his eyes.
I nodded, "Yeah... poor cat." I said.
I kicked my shoes off and ran upstairs to my room.
Dante looked at me confused.
I can't believe I said yes to Damien!
I curled up in a ball on my bed and Charm curled up next to my face and licked my cheek.
I smiled and rubbed her back.
I need Patrick!! ASAP!
"Where's my damn phone.." I said looking around.
AHA there it is!
I grabbed it and called Patrick.
It rang until I heard his voice happy voice.
"Hellllloooo?~" he hummed.
"Paaaaatrick!! I need you!" I whined,
"Gurl what's wrong?~"He hummed.
I explained to him what happened.
"Uh huh.. so you want to know how to get out of this mess?" He asked.
"Yeah.." I said.
"Ok gurl, first text him and tell him you are busy that day. If he says that he can move the date,suck it up and either try the date with him or tell him you aren't interested." Patrick said.
"Ok.." I sighed.
"Text me if anything else happens that you need me for!" He said.
"Ok, how are you?" I asked him.
"Welllll I got a date tonight with this hit guy named Jordan!!~" he said.
I giggled, "oh? On a scale of 1-10 how hot?" I asked.
"Oh gurl he is at least an eight!" He giggled.
I giggled, "Dang!~ Have fun on your date!" I said.
"Oh you know I will! Call you later gurl!~" my brother hummed.
"Cya Pat." I said.
We ended the call and I flopped on the bed.
I'll text him.. tomorrow morning..
