Keith caught Lance just in time before he can hit the floor. He hissed as he felt blood seep behind Lance's open wounds.

"Fuck." The raven hissed, as he tries to adjust the bleeding body of his beloved on his arms. Hunk snapped out of his daze before helping Keith on adjusting the injured man on his arms.

"I'll carry him." Hunk says, The Red Paladin looks over at Lance's pale face before nodding his head.

----

They were just in time, just in time for Lance to be put into a pod before Death got the chance to taking him away.

Keith looks over at Shiro, his body quietly tucked on the said leader's body.

"Shiro.." he whispered, burrying his forehead on Shiro's neck as he continued to stare at the broken boy inside the healing pod.

"...I'm so scared..." he hushes, tears forming on his eyes as he remembered Lance's fake smile.

"I know.." Shiro says as he pats Keith's hair to soothe him down.

---

It took Lance three weeks to completely heal, and by that time Pidge, Coran and Hunk were looking for answers on the sudden disappearance of their friend's emotions and overall feelings.

Still unable to crack the code, Pidge leaned back in her chair, devastated and angry. Not because of the lack of fond loudness of the room, or the lack of a familiar brunette bouncing up and down towards her as he tries to pry her into sleeping-Holy shit, she is so dependent on Lance, what the fuc-!

Pidge slammed her palms on her desk as she gritted her teeth in annoyance. Coran next to her continued to survey the brunette's vitals for any change to pin point any cure or rehab that they can do to help the said brunette.

They all stood aghast when the pod suddenly opened up with a light swoosh. The Pod was scheduled to open for at least a day or two later! What the hell is happening?!

Lance tumbled towards the ground, which Coran quickly scooped him up, avoiding the fall.

"Pidge, call the others!"

---
Hunk was busy stress cooking, he just finished coding a series of numbers that Pidge asked him to do for Lance's case, only for it to be an epic flop.

Allura was busy brushing her hair, her eyes distant from guilt. She hadn't notice Lance's odd behavior, how could she even call herself a leader, if she don't even know her Paladins really well?

Shiro and Keith were busy sparring, trying to distract themselves from the event that happen. They tried to cool their systems off, but to no avail. The fake smiles that Lance gave to Keith even if there were holes in his chest keeps him awake, while Shiro couldn't shake off the image of a bloody and broken Lance being carried by Hunk.

All of them stilled before running towards the infirmary when they heard the intercom blazing on their speakers.

"Guys, he's out."

---

Coran continued to cradle Lance on his arms, tucking his forehead beneath his chin as he firmly gave him a tight squeeze.
The brunette reminded Coran of his own son and he'd be damned if he's going to loose another one again.

He wants to shield Lance away from the universe that wants to hurt him. Not his boy, not his child. He would do whatever it takes to shield him away from danger. Even if he would pay for his life, just like a father would.

---

Everyone stood silent as Coran continued to cradle the still unconscious boy on his arms. Keith was...impatient, yes, but what worried him is the lack of reaction the brunette has.
