It was 8:00 when chaos began in the Styles' household. Anne left for work at 7:30, leaving her youngest son to wake up the older too.But Marcel didn't do that, instead he let them lay in, thinking it would be amusing to watch them rush around to get ready on their first day off senior year.
He was right.
He listened to the arguing of who got to use the bathroom. Resulting in Harry lent up against a counter in the kitchen while Marcel sat at the small table situated in the corner.
Harry had his school bag hung on his shoulders, his lacrosse stick strapped to it tightly. His curly hair was styled messily. Like usual. Marcel and him are the two that resemble the most, the only difference being the build and the glasses.
"So, Marcy, you excited for school?" Harry tried to make conversation while he bit into a banana. Marcel cringed at the name that his family had graced him with.
"Yeah, suppose." Marcel looked up and saw that Harry was looking at home with intent. Before obviously deciding that he had nothing else to add to the conversation.
Marcel took a quick glance at his watch and stood up, picking up his bag and slinging it over his shoulder. That caught Harry's attention. He looked up with a questionable glance.
"Where you going?" He asked. Marcel looked at him with a shrug.
"I'm going to get the bus." He spoke in a 'duh' tone, seeing as he had caught the bus every day since freshman year. He drove with Edward when he first got his car, but it lead to him being ignored or picked on by his older siblings.
So he stopped that. Not that he minded his friend Luke always got the bus with him. So it wasn't like he was a loner.
"Really? Marcy- c'mon you're really going to get the bus?"Marcel nodded. "We're seniors! I'm sure Edward wouldn't mind giving you a ride." As if I'm cue in walked the boy himself. His hair hanging loosely in loose curls.
"Ed! You wouldn't mind giving Marcel a ride. Right?" Edward scoffed at Harry's remark. Looking between the two as he grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.
"Marcel? He hasn't rode with us since sophomore year." He laughed loudly. But before he could continue Marcel interrupted.
"Exactly, now if you excuse me I'm going to miss the bus. See you at dinner, make sure to lock up!" He called as he left the house with a slam of the door.
Resulting in Harry throwing a glare at Edward. Not like he cared, seeing as he only replied with a shrug of his shoulders.
"What?"
Marcel was met with disappointment when he got on the bus, Luke wasn't anywhere to be seen so he sat in the first set of seats he could, closely to the window so he didn't attract any unwanted attention.
He adjusted his glasses with every bump in the road. Scrolling through Instagram stories, from people being hungover from the night before to others being excited for school. He was not in that list of people.
The bus stopped, in front of a white and grey house, on climbed a girl with long light brown hair, she looked lost, like she didn't belong there. Everyone eyed her in awe, it was rare Crescent High ever got new students. Not counting the freshmen's of course.
She met Marcel's eyes and walked straight towards him. He kept his eyes on her as she stood at the edge of the seats, asking to sit.
"Yeah sure, it's not- it's not taken, it's all yours." He stuttered out. She smiled sweetly and sat next to him. She placed her bag on her lap and began to untangle her headphones.
Marcel, kept stealing small glances. He'd never seen a girl so pretty before. In his eyes she was prettier than all the girls in Crescent High. When she caught him looking at her all she did was smile, before holding out the right side of her earphones.
"I really hope you like Panic at the disco. Otherwise this will be awkward." He laughed at her statement causing her to erupt in a small giggle. Marcel took the small white earphone and listened to the music flowing through. All the way until they arrived at school.
The walked through the doors, Marcel releasing a scoff and the girl from the bus tapping his shoulder lightly.
"Incase you didn't notice im kind of new, would you mind pointing me towards the office?" She asked in a small voice.
"Yeah sure, it down that hall, first door to the left, can't miss it." He smiled, pointing in the direction for her to go. Once she looked like she knew where to go she smiled at him.
"Thank you, I'm Lydia. See you around.." She pulled the sentence out.
"Marcel, I'm Marcel. If you need anything don't be afraid to ask." He smiled and waved as they departed ways. Marcel heading to his locker and Lydia heading to the office. Both holding a smile on their faces.
