"What the fuck is wrong with you guys?!" Camila shouted.
"Camila, you've got to understand--" Harry was cut off quick by Camila spitting right at him. He didn't react in anyway besides wiping the spit off of his face. "Don't you dare try to get me to understand anything you have to say! Nothing makes sense anymore!" she screamed at him.
"While we're in the middle of show and tell, do you want to explain in detail your killings of Perrie and Liam?" Lauren turned to face Zayn. "Did you guys tag team on that one too? You said you didn't kill Louis."
"I didn't kill him," Zayn said. "I just got him re-drunk, that's it." The way they spoke like their actions could be justified made Lauren's heartache.
"I can't believe you guys had the nerve to go to his funeral.. oh my God, I think I'm going to be sick." Lauren leaned her head back.
"Lauren," Zayn sternly said.
"Get out of my face! I want nothing to do with you, you're an absolute disgrace, and I can't believe I fell in love with a monster."
"I'll give you some time to process this, and the we can negotiate things. I don't want to keep you tied up, but I also don't want you to run off.." Harry said to Camila.
"Leave me here forever, I'd rather stay tied up and turn to bones before I trust you ever again." Harry sighed at her words, and made his ways to the stairs.
Zayn glanced at Lauren and she wanted to spit at him, but her mouth was so dry she wasn't even salivating. All she could do was glare at him. "I really do love you Lauren, and I wish you saw that.." he walked away and up the stairs.
The sound of the door closing gently made Lauren cringe. "We're going to die down here... Harry killed Louis.. I can't wrap my mind around this. He drowned that poor boy at his weakest point." Camila started to cry.
"We're going to get out of here."
"Your false optimism isn't what we need right now Lauren, they're murderers..."
"Camila, I'm just as freaked out as you, okay? I found Perrie's body, and I found his bloody shit, and the hammer he killed Liam with." I could feel vomit rising as I thought about it. "I'm scared shitless, but sitting here crying isn't going to help us." Camila sniffled, and let out an exasperated sigh. Once Lauren was sure Camila was calm enough she went on to say, "There is a saw hanging behind you, okay? Turn your chair around, and move your arm around until you can pull your wrists apart, then get the tape off of your legs." Camila's reaction was as though Lauren had just solved the worlds most difficult problem. "What if we get caught?"
"Don't worry about that right now Camila! The boys are upstairs in the kitchen."
"How do you know?" she asked.
"I just heard a chair slide up there, look, just listen to me and we will get out of here, okay? Do you want to get out of here?"
"Of course I want to get out of this nuthouse."
"Then do what I just said, start scraping." Camila nodded, and spun her chair around.
Lauren tried not to pay attention as Camila scraped her taped up wrists against the saw. Instead, Lauren tuned her ears in to listen to the sounds coming from upstairs. The second she heard them walking, Camila would need to stop.
"I got it Lauren! Oh my God, I got it!" Camila breathed, trying to keep her voice down. Lauren couldn't see her, but she could hear Camila ripping the tape off of from around her ankles.
Lauren wanted to cry when she saw Camila coming toward her. "Hurry!" Lauren said. Camila looked around for a brief moment, and ran behind Lauren, then back now holding a large pair of lawn scissors that were rusting. Camila opened and closed them, the sound wasn't too pleasant. "Please try not to cut into my skin," Lauren mumbled under her breath still paying attention to the sounds upstairs as Camila cut through the thick layers duct tape.
Once Lauren's arms were free she started starting to roll her wrists around. "Done." Camila placed the scissors down on the cold stone floor. Lauren jumped to her feet and shared a hug with her best friend. "They're still in the kitchen, the basement door is in the kitchen, okay? We're going to wait until they walk away."
"Are you serious? Lauren, we just made it this far and now we have to risk it?" Lauren started looking around, and then she shook her head. "Maybe we don't.. look out that window, what do you see?" Camila stood on her tip toes and glanced up in the direction Lauren was staring in. "I see the pool lights."
"Exactly. That window gets us out back, and then all we have to do is run."
"The windows not wide.."
"We'll have to go out sideways, so we have to squeeze our asses out, literally. Come on, you first." Lauren said leading Camila to the wooden desk that was laid out with tools.
Camila climbed on top of it, and pulled the window open. "I'm so scared.." she breathed.
"Camz. Just go." Camila nodded, and started crawling out, she was halfway out, and she had to start inching like a snail. Lauren climbed onto the table, and followed in Camila's footsteps. She could feel the wind from outside hitting her, and it was a change from the humid basement they were in for who knows how long.
Camila helped Lauren the rest of the say out. "Fuck, I cut myself on a nail." Lauren said feeling the sting, and hot liquid streaming down her leg.
"THEY LEFT!" Harry's booming voice sounded through the open basement window. "Whatever, come on, run!" Lauren shouted, and that's exactly what they started doing.

The sound of the the leaves crunching, and twigs breaking beneath her made Lauren's motivation to run ever stronger. Camila however, stopped running, and started taking in gulps of air. "Camila, do you not understand?! We have to get the fuck out of here!" Lauren shouted at her. Camila shook her head. "I'm tired! I don't want to run anymore." she shouted at her best friend. "LAUREN?" The sound of Zayn shouting boomed through the air. "CAMILA?" Harry shouted shortly after. "Do you want to run now?!" Lauren sarcastically said to Camila who had tears streaming down her face. "We aren't going to hurt you!" Harry shouted.
"You hear that? They aren't going to hurt us."
"Camila, they drugged us, and tied us up! You think they aren't going to hurt us?! You obviously bumped your head a little harder then I thought."
"I'm just exhausted.." Camila pouted.
"LAUREN?!" Zayn shouted again. Lauren didn't wait for Camila to decide on her fate, she grabbed her best friends wrist and started running, dragging Camila who had to unwillingly run along with her.
They continued running, and running, and running. Zayn and Harry's shouting getting further away. The sound of cars in the far distance gave Lauren a slither of hope, and when they emerged from the woods they were on a backroad.
Car lights were far in the distance, and Lauren dragged Camila into the middle of the street with her. "HELP US!" Lauren shouted waving her arms frantically in the air.
Lauren placed her hand over her eyes as the bright lights from the car got closer. The driver slowed their pace, and Camila breathed, relieved, and a sob escaped when she saw the dented fender. The car stopped beside them, and the driver rolled down their window, Niall smiled at the girls. "Niall! Oh, you don't know how amazing it is to see you! Please can you give us a ride?" Lauren pleaded. They heard the doors unlock and they got in. "I'm so sorry for everything I said to you before!" Camila said.
Niall accepted her apology almost instantly.
"Can I just ask what you ladies were doing running out of the woods?" he said doing a u-turn, and Lauren seemed to be the only one who noticed.
"You wouldn't even believe us..." Camila said.
"Maybe I will." Niall pulled onto the familiar dirt road that led to the cabin. "Wait, what the hell are you doing? Turn around!" Lauren and Camila said.
"I'm sorry ladies, I can't do that."
