Amy watched out the car window as the trees and houses passed by, nervously kicking the back of the drivers seat, lightly. Despite the fact that she had done this before, she couldn't help but feel nervous.

She decides to finally listen to the droning on of her social worker.

"There are six kids, a mom, and a dad. You are going to have six sisters."

Wow. Six sisters? That's alot. That's almost as many homes Amy has been in.

"The oldest one is named Christina, she's 12, next is Katherine, she's 11, then Lisa, who is 9, then Lauren who is 6, then it's Dani who is 3."

Amy takes it all in. So she is going to be one of the middle children for a few months. Sounds fun. After a little silence Amy decides to speak up.

"Do... Do you think I will be sent away again?"

Amy can hear the social workers sigh.

"Honestly... No. I... I think you'll fit in."

The words are laced with, I know it hasn't worked out very well but, I hope this is better.

Amy scoffs internally. She said that for the last two homes, and look what's happening right now. You see, Amy was on the 'Difficulty' list. She wasn't completely sure what gave her that name but, she had seen her files before. It has the word permanently stamped on it with red ink. She knew she wasn't like other kids considering the fact that she was a lot smaller then other kids, and the fact that she was 'difficult ' but she wasn't to worried about it. She would be her and whoever didn't like it could go away.

 "Why?"

" ... You'll see. I just think you'll have fun in this house. All of their kids have been adopted from difficult situations and so far their hasn't been any complaints or reasons to think that they aren't doing the best for the kids."

Amy decides to give these people a slight chance. After all, they were willing to take her in. That has to count for somthing. Another heavy silence falls over the car. A little while later the car pulls up into the driveway of a large 3 floored house with buttercream yellow paneling and brick accents. Amy opens the door and follows the social worker slowly.

The social worker doesn't hold out her hand when Amy struggles up the stairs but, that's fine. She doesn't need help anyway. She has had to run with a sprained ankle before, this is nothing compared to that.

The social worker rings the doorbell and Amy heard a bunch of noise until the door finally opens. A tall man with a beard opens it. He is wearing a suit and is VERY tall.

"Hey Kiddo! We have been expecting you. My name is Mike, and that's Lynn. Call us whatever you want. We don't mind. Oh. Come on in."

He opens the door fully and gestures inside. Many walks in and the social worker nudges her to move faster by pushing her lightly. Amy immediately slaps the hand away and walks with a limp into what seems to be the living room.

"Go ahead and take a seat. Lynn, Honey, can you get the girls?"

Lynn nods and goes off toward what looks to be a dining room.

The room looks like it came off of one of those fancy house magazines. The soft looking baby blue couch giving Amy anxiety.

Was she allowed to sit down on it? This has to be some sort of trick. She had been in many houses that were nicely decorated and she wasn't allowed to sit on any of the furniture because, she would get it dirty. And now... She didn't know. She wasn't very clean, despite the fact that at the group home it had a rule that you had to shower everyday, it wasn't exactly kept up and, you had to pay older kids in whatever you had for your own turn. When everyone else sits down she decides to take a chance and she sits an the farthest corner away from everyone else and curls up, trying to touch as little of the couch as possible.

After a while Amy starts getting fidgety and is trying not to wiggle to much. Finally Lynne comes downstairs six girls following her. One of them has short hair, dyed a dark maroon red. She has ripped jeans on and looks annoyed. The one next to her is tall and skinny, she is nervously playing with one of her ears, hidden behind her shoulder lengthy dark brown hair. Next to that one is a shorter girl with hair down to her chest, she has large hoop earrings and is glaring fiercely at Amy. Her flower shirt does not trick Amy into thinking that she was bubbly. Holding scary girls hand is a small girl with close to black hair covering her face. Amy gets a glimpse of the girls doe like brown eyes for a second before they quickly dart back to the ground. This girl is squished inbetween the scary one and a toddler who's hands are covered in what she can only assume is finger paint.

"This is Lisa, Katherine, Christina, Lauren, And Dani."

Mike says this pointing to each girl respectively. Everyone just stands or sits in silence which REALLY was not helping Amy's wiggles.

Lynn, sensing the awkwardness, ushers the girls off and they walk back toward the kitchen.

Fricking school started 2 weeks ago and I have been exhausted.

I am trying out a new style of writing and I am going to see how I like it.

K, Bye
