Hope

Morning

Amy wakes up to the smell of food and a warm comforter covering her. Sunlight is spilling through the curtains onto the floor and part of Amy's bed. She takes the covers of her bed but, immediately puts the covers back on.

It was cold. Amy didn't like the cold. She cuddles back up into her covers and just stares at the window. 

A few moments later, she hears a knock on her door. She sees Christina standing there, her gaze piercing through her soul. Then suddenly she hears chaos erupt. She hears screaming and banging, some type of loud rock music, and thunderous running. The house came ALIVE as soon as the door had opened.

Christina raises her eyebrow with an exasperated look, then leaves, and leaves the door open. Amy sighs. Then someone else enters her room. It's Lisa... but she has green hair? WHy does she have green hair? But, it weirdly works. Amy is confused.

  Lisa is holding her phone blasting music, then she pauses it.

"Hey Ames, sorry 'bout Chris. She is... *Cough* She is fine. Just needs to wake everyone up. She's not happy about it. She likes peace and quiet."

Amy nods but then thinks, Then why is she still here? Why doesn't she move to someplace quieter?

"Oh... and sorry about yesterday... I was being rude but, I just hadn't really gotten any sleep. Sorry..."

Lisa rubs the back of her neck nervously.

"'s fin"

"Do you just not talk in the mornings or... Like... At all?"

"I t'lk jus... nottt fo 30 minuuuus."

"Oh... right Sorry."

Lisa blushes but then evacuates the room, the loud rock music abruptly continuing.

Amy begrudgingly gets out of bed, her entire body shivering. She gets dressed and walks down the hall looking at some of the many photos and artworks hanging on the walls. One of the photos I see is a photo of Mike and Lynne with Lauren and Lisa in front of them. Except, Lisa has long hair and Lauren is ALOT younger looking, and, Lynne is holding her, but Lauren looks to be on the verge of tears. 

Why would they do something she isn't comfortable with? Ugh... Amy can already see where this placement is going.

She looks at another photo and it is a photo of Christina and Katherine on the beach, Christina whispering in Katherine's ear as Katherine looks at the sunset.

They look happy even if they aren't smiling. That's the happiest I've seen Christina... Ever... Although, to be fair, she hasn't even known Christina for 24 hours.

To bad Amy won't ever have a picture up here. She will just be kicked out again. She moves back downstairs deciding not to get into a depressing mood today. When she is downstairs she sees Christina cleaning up Dani's face swiftly, which is covered in syrup, but, Christina looks very nervous.
Amy looks at Christina and they make eye contact.

Don't tell them. Christina mouths

Amy is confused. Don't tell them about what? Whatever it is, it doesn't really matter.

Mike turns around and sees Amy.

"Good morning sunshine!" Your lucky that you have school off today. Lynne and I have to go to work. Anyway, if you need anything ask any of the kids that know how things work around here alright!" Mike is over enthusiastic and winks at the end of his mini speech.

Amy only nods.

"Breakfast this morning is whatever you want on that table. It's kind of like a buffet type thing. Take what you want... Leave some for the others though!"

Amy nods.

"Alrighty then. Help yourself. Lynne and I have to leave in a little while. Then you'll be on your own... Kinda."
Mike's over enthusiasm is making Amy a little more energetic. Only a little though. Lynne will be back at... 5ish and I will be back at like 12 for lunch and 6 after I'm done working."

Mike turns around and finishes his breakfast cooking.

This house seems to good to be true. It probably is. Amy grabs a large plate and begins putting alot of food on it, hoping to fill up as well as stop the hunger urges from her PICA.

While Amy is eating, Christina is still struggling to keep Dani clean from the syrup, panic on her facial features.

"Christina. *Sigh* we told you, you don't have to worry about cleaning up after Dani. We can do it."
Lynne has turned around and is looking at Christina.

"'s fine. Can do it."

Christina doesn't seem to trust Lynne. Amy just continues chowing down, deciding not to get involved.

"Christina. No one is going to get in trouble for it. Not even Dani. We took you all on because we can handle it. So, let us take care of it alright?"

Christina is still standing tense and everyone else has gone silent. The tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Lisa comes up next to Christina quietly.

"Hey Chris..."

Christina's focus does not change from glaring at Lynne.

"You... Should... Come help me... Yeah... I... Umm... Need help on something in school? Yeah..."

Lisa gently takes Christina's hand and leads her upstairs, grabbing the washcloth from Christina's hand, giving it to Lynne, and grabbing a plate of food, enough for the both of them. They then leave.

Lynne sighs and Mike puts his hands on her shoulders.

"Don't worrie sweetie. She will come around eventually."

Mike attempts to reassure Lynne.

"Will she though Hon. She has been with us for almost 6 months now and it feels like she hasn't loosened up at all."

Lynne puts her hand on her forehead as if she were stressed. She probably was stressed.

"She's talking a little now. Isn't she?"

"*Sigh* I guess."
