Banana Sleeping Bag

Levi sighed for the umpteenth time that hour. It was past dinner time, something that they took upon themselves to make, and now he's more than ready to lay in bed and rest.

Eren, his lover for six years, had another plan in mind.

"Come on, love. Don't you want to cuddle with me?" Eren asked him again, persistence never wavering even after countless of times he got shotdown. Levi kept his eyes fixated on the book in his hand, his eyes skimming over the words, his mind incapable of making it have any sense as his lover kept on disturbing him.

"No," Levi said with finality. No matter how much he loves Eren, he would never get inside that hideous, bright yellow abomination. He couldn't even comprehend why Eren thought it was a good idea to buy it.

"But Levi..." Eren trailed off. Levi did his best not to look at him because he knew that it would fuck him over. "Let's have a deal. You'll get inside that sleeping bag with me and in return, I'll let you have control on what we'll do in the bedroom for a week."

That piqued Levi's interest. Tearing his eyes away from the book, Levi slowly trailed his eyes upwards until he met Eren's eyes.

"Make it two weeks. Then we'll have a deal," Levi replied. He watched as a huge grin form on his lover's lips, child-like glee making his eyes appear brighter. Sometimes it made him forget the fact that this man was a grown ass adult.

Without another word, Eren stood up from the bed then offered his hand to Levi. The raven placed his book on the nightstand before allowing the other to guide him towards the sleeping bag.

Eren was the first one to get in, patting the space beside him with a smile on his face. Levi made a face as he took in the sight of the thing. It was large enough for the two of them to fit in so he got no problem with that. What he hated about it was how it looked like. It was bright yellow, almost bordering neon, and it's shaped like a banana. Why the fuck did Eren think that it was a good idea to buy it?

Remembering the deal they had, Levi got inside the sleeping bag but not without some well chosen words to express his distaste. Eren only listened to him with a fond look on his face, waiting for Levi to settle in comfortably. Levi settled on his side with his head resting on Eren's arm, the brunet immediately nuzzling his nose in his hair.

Eren kept on showering Levi with his affections. The brunet left trails of kisses on his neck, his jaw, leaving Levi breathless whenever Eren kissed him deep and full of passion. His hand traced patterns over Levi's skin, leaving trails of hot embers on its wake.

Eren's actions left Levi mindless, his mind clear of nothing but Eren, Eren, Eren. Clear of nothing but the burning touch of his hand, of the goosebumps he felt whenever Eren kissed his neck right where he wanted it most.

"So, is it comfortable enough?" Eren asked in a hushed tone, as if afraid to break the small comfortable glass case they were in.

Despite Levi's distate for its design, the sleeping bag was comfortable enough to rest in. But he wouldn't admit that. Instead he just hummed noncommittally, his hand tracing shapes on top of Eren's chest.

Suddenly Eren's lips were against him again, feverous and urgent, like a starved man hungering for food. It sent heat throughout Levi's body, causing him to moan through the kiss, his hand tangling itself with Eren's chestnut locks.

They leaned away when they needed breath, both of them panting. Their eyes met and they were full of adoration and complete devotion, burning much brighter than a thousand stars. Then Eren leaned to trail kisses from Levi's forehead, down to his nose, and finally his lips, keeping the contact chaste and innocent, yet oh so sweet. Levi felt like he was going to combust with the overwhelming feelings he had for this man.

"I love you, Levi. I always do and always will," Eren confessed in a whisper, taking Levi's breath away. It didn't matter how many times Eren had said it for each time those words come out of his mouth, it felt like Levi's listening to him say it for the first time.

Levi opened his mouth to reply but no word came out. He tried again, but there was nothing. Suddenly everything around him started to blur. The raven called out his lover's name but it was futile. Levi reached out to touch Eren but his hand seemed to pass through him, everything fading away until there was nothing but darkness.

Levi woke up with a gasp. His face was wet with tears and his chest was squeezing painfully. It has been a long time since he started having this kind of dream, but it never got better for him.

He turned to look at the nightstand. There was a picture of his lover, smiling brightly as he had his arms wrapped around Levi's waist. Levi was leaning back against him, his usual stoic face in place but his eyes alight with glee as he spent his time with his lover.

More tears started to pour as he ran his finger over the picture. It has been over a year already, but the hole left in his chest never left.

He missed having him around, having those strong arms around him. He missed his scent, his laugh, his voice. He missed the way he looked at Levi as if he was the one who hung the moon and the stars in the sky.

He missed his lover.

If only he could come back, then he wouldn't be feeling this pain. If only he was there with him right now.

But he was dead. And there was no way he could be with him again.

"I miss you, my love."
