It'd now been a few months since the attack. Hanji was mostly healed now. Levi stayed close by her when he could and then assigned Moblit to watch her when he couldn't. Hanji and Levi were still awkward as hell around each other, not quite having figured out the whole relationship thing yet. There were many times when Levi would go to check on Hanji in the evening only to find her, hobbling down the hall towards her work room. This was one such night...
Hanji tried to sneak out of her room.
"And where do you think you're going four-eyes?" Levi asked.
He was leaning against the wall next to her door.
"Uh...for a walk?" Hanji said.
"Uh-huh, go back to bed four-eyes," Levi replied.
"But I'm so bored!" Hanji whined.
"So?" Levi replied.
"Go to sleep and you'll cure your boredom."
"Can I just go to my work space for a little??" Hanji asked.
"No." Levi replied.
He grabbed her hand and pulled her back into her room. Hanji pouted.
"Your leg still isn't healed, idiot," Levi said.
"All this walking around isn't going to help it heal."
"Leeeeeeevvvvvi," Hanji whined.
Levi ignored her. He quickly stripped her, leaving her in her underwear and pulled her sleeping shirt on.
"Just cuz' you're my boyfriend now, doesn't mean you can boss me around," Hanji said.
"Yes, it does," Levi replied, picking her up.
"Hey!" Hanji said.
"If I don't, then you're going do something stupid and maybe even dangerous," Levi replied.
Hanji sighed and then yawned. Levi set her in bed and covered her with the blanket.
"Sleep Hanji," he said as he walked to the door.
"Yeah yeah," Hanji mutterd.
Levi left. He stayed hidden in the shadows near her room. A few minutes later, Hanji poked her head out. Coast was "clear". She slowly began to limp down the hall. Levi followed her. It was dark and Hanji didn't see the dislodged stone in the floor. She tripped and landed on her bad leg. Tears formed in her eyes as a horrible pain shot through her leg. Hanji looked around, good thing Levi wasn't here, otherwise he'd scold her for leaving bed. She slowly stood up having to use her arms and good leg. Hanji carefully put weight on her bad leg, but the minute she did, it buckled. Levi jumped into action. He threw his arms out and caught Hanji.
"L-Levi," Hanji said.
"What... what are you doing here...hehe?"
"Idiot," Levi muttered.
"You hurt yourself, didn't you?"
"No..." Hanji replied.
Levi gave her a look.
"...Yes," Hanji said.
"What did I tell you?" Levi replied.
"I know and I should've listened to you," Hanji said.
Levi brought her back to her room and set her on the bed.
"Stay." he said.
"I'm not a dog," Hanji muttered, crossing her arms.
Levi grabbed a strip of cloth. He sat on a wooden stool in front of Hanji.
"Leg," Levi said.
Hanji lifted her leg and set it on Levi's lap. She was a bit worried she might have re-broken or fractured her leg again. Levi examined where the damaged area had been and then where Hanji had landed on it.
"Looks like you just twisted your ankle four-eyes," he said.
"Easy fix."
Hanji laid back and stared at the stone ceiling as Levi tightly wrapped her ankle and part of her calf. Once he was finished, Levi got up and put the stool away. He walked back over to the bed and pulled off his shirt. Hanji blushed a little.
