Chapter 4: Blue and Gold

Betty was in charge of the school newspaper. Well she ran the newspaper by herself because no one else was interested. Until Jughead came by the office asking for a position.
"Why would you want to?" Asked Betty.
"I like writing...stuff."
"And you wouldn't ditch?"
"No"
Betty had a bad feeling about this and it wasnt because of her subtle dislike for Jughead but because she was to nice.
"Fine. Yeah, okay. We'll meet Mondays and Wednesdays after school."
"Done" Said Jughead before walking out and closing the doors behind him.

The first Blue and Gold meeting of the week came and when Jughead came in all he saw was Betty in an empty room.
"Where is everyone?" He asked
"What do you mean? This is it."
"You're telling me. You, by yourself put out a full paper everyweek."
"Yeah." Jughead was impressed but only for a moment because i couldnt be that hard if one person could do it. So the two started planning the paper for the following week. Jughead found out it was infact alot of work and the impressed feeling came back but he knew Blondie didn't like him that much so he returned the favour and decided to subtly dislike her too.

A few weeks passed and a few papers went out and Betty found herself looking forward to the paper meetings. A genuine like for Jughead started to work its was into Bettys head and for 2 hours a week atleast Betty forgot about the name on her arm. Betty was discovering her feelings for Jughead but was so confused about everything.
"What so you like beenie guy?" V asked.
"I think so but he isnt my soulmate."
"Oh yeah have you found him yet?"
"No how about you?"
"No one on the north side if town is named 'Sweet Pea' and also Archie wont talk to me."
"Im sorry V. Do you want to try and find the guy?"
"Yes. Wait no. Okay yes. I dont know"
"Oh there's Jughead, he lives south. Ill be right back." Betty said quickly jogging over to Jughead.
"Hey Jug, do you bu any chance know where I could find someone named 'Sweet Pea'?"
"Probably the whyte worm why? Oh my god is he your marker?" Jughead said doubling over laughing "beause that would be the most hilarious thing ever"
"No he isn't, but thanks" Betty snapped. Just then the bell rang signaling schools done and B ran over and grabbed Veronicas arm dragging her out of the school. "B, where are we going?"
"Whyte worm?"
"Serpent hangout?"
"Well thats where Sweet Pea likes to hang out apperently." When the got there a sudden confidence overtook Veronica "Sweet Pea?" She demanded to some serpents the pointed to a boy a little older then the girls by maybe a year. He had jet black hair that was slicked back and he was wearing a serpent jacket laughingbwith his friends. Veronica marched right over and grabbed his arm he had enough time to say "What the hell?" Before he was cut off by Veronica crushing her lips into him. Sweet Pea took her by the shoulders and harshly pushed her off  "What the hell north side princess?" Veronica grabbed his arm showing his marker and placed hers next to it. Sweet Pea looked at their touching arms and read her marker reading his name and then looked at his that read Veronica. Veronica all of a sudden got anxious and started to babble saying "I needed to know who had the marker and so i came down her and i was you and you have mine and-" Then they were kissing again. More passionately while the serpent whooped and clapped happy for Sweet Pea and Betty joined in for Veronica. Her and Sweet Pea pulled away and rested their heads together and Sweet Pea held her tightly laughing to himself. All of this left Betty wondering. 'Who is Forsythe?'
