Chapter 2

BOOOMMM!!!

Everyone heard the explosion.
"I'll check!!" Screamed Irisu as she ran towards the lab.

Stupid Jolly! What has he done now?!!

She ran in and found glass everywhere and Jolly taking off his gloves exposing his bleeding hand.

"ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" She rushed to him.
"It's just shrapnel. I'll be fine..."
"What!!! Let me see!"
"It's fin-"

Irisu grabbed his hand even as he tried to pull it back.

"Oh... you are bleeding very badly. We shou- what the....."

The next second Irisu fainted and Jolly without even realising what he was doing caught her. He pulled her to the couch and was surprised to notice he was feeling a little anxious.

After a few minutes she opened her eyes.

"Jolly..."
"Are you alright?"
"Your hand...."
"That's fine.... you- "

Jolly broke off, for suddenly Irisu had grabbed his hand.

"Wha-"
"Jolly... I don't know how I had suffered the pain so long.... but I simply must..."
"What! Let go Irisu!!"
"Oh Jolly!!"

With a sigh she flung her arms around his neck and the next second he found himself on the floor with Irisu..... Irisu of all people clinging to him......

"Let go!!!" Jolly shouted though it did seem more like a shriek.

"Don't do this to me darling!"

DARLI-

That was all he could think before Irisu pulled away, only to plant a quick kiss on his cheek.

Jolly pushed her away.

"IRISU!!! WHAT A RE YOU DOING? ?! PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!!! COME TO YOUR SENSES! !!"

He slapped her cheek but she was still gazing dreamily at him.

"I have Jolly... I have..... I can't do it anymore. Even if you hurt me I'll say it... what I've felt in my heart for so long!"

"Iri-"

"Oh Jolly!!! I LOVE YOU! !!"

Whatever he was going to say was lost on the fits of choking that followed. Jolly lost his abilities to think as Irisu strangled him in a hug and proceeded to kiss him again.

"What.... Somebody please stop her!!!!!"

Jolly scowled down at Irisu who was now on the couch and gazing up at him.

"Why are you looking at me that way love? "
"Shut up Irisu."

"Don't... It hurts when you say that!"

She sighed and tried to get up even as Jolly pushed her back down and darted out of the way.

Well... It certainly worked... he thought...

Perhaps it is the first person she touches and not sees.

"Jolly...."
"It will wear off by tomorrow Irisu. Go to sleep now."

He opened the door and motioned for her to get out. But apparently it wasn't so easy anymore.
Before he could react she was next to him and pinned him against the door.

"Why do you hurt me like this? You love me don't you?! All I want to do is spend the rest of my life with you!"

"SHUT UP!!! OUT!!!"

He tried to shove her out but unfortunately the candy had only made her lovesick. She was still stronger than him....

"But... I.... can't.... Why won't you look at me? Come with me then!"

"Irisu..." he said weakly as he kept her at bay.

But she wasn't done yet....

"Jolly... you know how we played together as little kids... I loved you even then... even when you thought I was only a little girl...."

"YOU ARE ONE!!!! Please leave! What if.... Sumire sees you here! She will blow a fuse!!"

Blow a fuse....The things I'm saying...

"Sumire.... CAN BLOW HERSELF UP!!!!" said Irisu with a scowl "Too long have I listened to that old bat!! I'll confess my love and no one can stop me!!!!!"

Now that was interesting... thought Jolly.

Perhaps the potion was not all about love... Perhaps it accentuated any hate in a person's mind too.... that was useful.... but maybe all it did was increase any sort of emotions a person had... so that must mean.......

Jolly involuntarily jerked away from Irisu.

"What's the matter Jolly?? Is something wrong?? Does your hand hurt???"

"I... no.... Um...." he stammered. He was horrified to note that he was actually getting embarrassed.

To hell with this!!!! He thought and grabbed Irisu.

"Jolly!! She squealed with delight.

"Don't get any ideas!!!" He said as he dragged her out.
"Now go to sleep! Tomorrow you'll be fine. And then you can run more errands for me and forget all this happened, alright?"

"Oh Jolly... I'll run errands for you even now! Wherever you are I'll come to you... In the dark... In the light... when all is lost...."

"Yes!Yes! Now goodnight!"

The damn chocolate couldn't possibly bring out the poet in people! Where is she getting this from?!

"Yes Jolly....and even if you wish to forget what happened tonight, I don't! Never have I felt so happy!!!"

She gave a silly radiant smile and Jolly slammed the door shut and locked it. A few minutes later he saw her skipping away.

Thank God.... WHAT WAS I THINKING!! Even Mondo would have been better! Atleast it will last only for a day.....
