Operation BF: Status Report

Cafeteria

Jungkook insisted on having lunch together.

"Is that all you're having?" Jungkook asked, eyeing Lisa's sandwich doubtfully.

"Do you have a problem with my sandwich?"

"It's so small. I looks like I can finish it in two bites."

"Maybe it's not the sandwich that's small. Maybe it's your mouth that's too big."

He laughed. "You're probably right."

"You eat a lot." Lisa observed.

"I'm hungry." Jungkook ate a spoonful of rice. "And you should eat more, not just that tiny little thing."

"Stop insulting my sandwich."

He grinned then looked around. "There's a lot of people watching us."

"Probably because you keep displaying your uvula."

He barked a laugh. "My uvula is that interesting. Also, this is the first time I'm eating with a girl. They probably think you're my girlfriend." He winked.

"That's stupid. Why would they think that?"

"Why indeed?" His eyes twinkled as they met hers.

Lisa's brow furrowed. "Maybe.. their brains lack oxygen or something."

"Should we recommend a breathing exercise?" He teased.

"Do you think we should?" She asked seriously.

Jungkook sighed. "We should really work on your sense of humor."

"What's wrong with my sense of humor?"

Jungkook sighed again. "I've been trying to make you crack a smile all day."

"Really? Why?"

"Just because. So smile, I'd like to see it."

"Ehh, But I don't feel smiley at the moment."

"So what? Just smile, come on, I'm waiting."

"Is this important to you?"

"Yes."

Lisa smiled.

Jungkook choked on his food. "What was that?"

"What was what? You said to smile so I smiled."

"Is that a smile? You stretched your lips and that's it. That's not a smile. That's more like a grimace."

"Really? That's probably why when I tried it on our classmates they looked at me like I'm weird."

He laughed. "You are weird."
