15 years after a Blackout... Power is everything.
Some people think it was a nuclear missile that has devastated the surface of Earth. the only remaining humans are residents of space stations known as "The Ark" or for what they have been told. Supply with monitoring wristbands and instructions to proceed directly to Mount Weather, upon landing, 100 juvenile criminals are sent to Earth to see if it's livable. Among them, is a 17 year old Clarke Griffin, the daughter of The Ark's chief medical Doctor, Dr. Abby Griffin. The 100 discover a green lush Earth filled with new wonders and dangers. Clarke and four others search for Mount Weather, a possible site of supplies. Ultimately, they discover that there are hostile survivors on the ground when Jasper, one of their party, is speared. The other criminals remain at the landing site and, under the leadership of Bellamy Blake, celebrate their new world. Back on The Ark, Chancellor Jaha has been shot, causing the kind and unsympathetic Councilman Marcus Kane to take charge. On Earth, An American family Ben and Rachel Matheson, children Charlie and Danny. They live in a rural farming village, in a world that has been devoid of electricity for fifteen years. Unexpectedly, troops from the Monroe Republic Military lead by General Tom Neville arrive with his campaign: "War began, Grounders have crossed our borders and pollute our land, Grounders on our system. being destroyed us inside. But General Tom Neville, Has a plan of attack. He will fight to keep Grounders out, he supports a weaponry manufacturer military base, no amnesty for Grounders, he took a stand and defended our second amendment with a vengeance. Tom Neville wants to protect you from attackers. Vote for re-election General Tom Neville. Monroe Republic Committee has paid for re-Selection General Tom Neville."

Elsewhere, Charlie Matheson is out hunting, the military intending to take Ben Matheson prisoner, because president Monroe believes that Ben may know something about restoring the power. Before Ben is arrested, he secretly gives Aaron a mysterious pendant with directions to meet someone and instructions to keep it safe. However, a military soldier shoots Ben, who was protecting Danny. The soldiers take Danny prisoner and leave. Charlie hears this and runs back, Ben tells Charlie to go to Chicago and find her uncle, Miles Matheson, whom Charlie has never heard of, to help rescue Danny. Than Aaron and Maggie accompany Charlie. Along the way they meet a soldier Jason Neville, who helps them out of trouble. Upon reaching Chicago they find that the cantina has been converted to a capital of Chicago owned by Miles Matheson and Miles immediately identifies Jason as a soldier. Later, after the military soldiers arrives and unsuccessfully tries to arrest Miles, who slaughters the troops trying to capture him with Charlie's help, the group sets off to find Charlie's brother, Danny. Meanwhile, Danny escapes and meets Clarke, Finn, Wells, Octavia and Jasper. They took him with them back to their landing site.

Flashback: Ben rushes home to warn his family that "It's happening." He urgently downloads something onto a USB pendant and tries to warn his brother. Miles Matheson, who is in the US Marines, is on his way back to his house with his friend "Sebastian" when he is contacted by Ben, but the blackout happens and interrupts the call. Miles and his friend return to base and the Ark space stations got sent up to space, and it is revealed that his friend Sebastian Monroe later President of the Monroe Republic. End of Flashback

Back to Present day, The Monroe Republic had conquered half of the United States. President Monroe heard their are hostile survivors called "Grounders", and they have a Commander. President Monroe doesn't trust the Grounders and tells the military to kill any Grounders on site. Later, the votes came in and president Monroe announced to the people of Monroe Republic that Tom Neville is re-elected to General of the Republic, everyone cheers for general Neville and celebrate.
