The camera wobbles and takes a moment to focus, the blurry figure sharpening when she sits up with a smile. "So, here we are. The studio."

A door slams as someone calls, "What are you doing?"

"Vlogging," the girl stares behind the camera, fixing her hair.

There's a scuffle and a few rustles before a boy slides into frame, curly hair bouncing and eyes narrowing at the viewfinder. "You gonna be a youtuber now?"

"It's just for fun," she widens the frame and leans back. "Want me to introduce you to all four of my watchers?"

"I mean," he flexes. "I could boost your ratings."

"Ladies and Dad, this is Leo and for once, he's not late to class."

Leo rolls his eyes and grabs for his water bottle. "I'm not always late."

"Just half the time," she snorts.

The door opens again, the cavernous room suddenly echoing with conversation. People walk behind the girl and give questioning looks as they wander to the barre, but she just reaches forward to grab the camera. She stands to shows off the sunlit room, filling with bunheads and boys in tights.

"Welcome to the room I waste my life away in," she slowly spins, light hardwood and shiny mirrors filtering by. "Not really, thank you for paying tuition, Dad, dream come true."

"You're such a drama queen," Leo laughs, ducking to adjust his shoes.

"Piper, your hair!"

The camera whips to face an approaching blonde, expression one of exasperation and fondness. "Oh, look who's finally awake."

"Ha, ha," her eyebrows shoot up. "Madame is going to kick you out for real this time."

"Fine, fine, if you're so in love with me," Piper shoves the camera to the girl, who fumbles before twisting it to face the brunette as she whips her choppy hair into an effortless, smooth, and perfect bun.

"That's not fair," the new camera woman says. "You shouldn't be allowed to be so good at that."

Piper's eyes sparkle as she shoves stray bobby pins that had been stuck on the neckline of her leotard. "Hey, you have the best turn out, let me have this skill."

"I don't have the best-"

"You do," Leo pops back into frame. "And you know it."

"Dad," Piper grabs for the camera to force the blonde back on the screen. "This is Annabeth, aka the prodigy of all prodigies."

She rolls her eyes with a smile. "Boost my ego, keep it coming."

"Yeah, you'd like that," she snorts. "This is also my roommate and she's literally a disaster."

Annabeth mutters something under her breath and twists out of Piper's hold. "Sit down before you sprain your other ankle."

Piper shakes her head, but turns as someone calls, "You're doing it!"

She zooms on the boy with glasses and a big smile as he breezes into the studio. "I am!"

"That's great, but I think I saw-"

He is bulldozed by another boy barreling through the door, dark hair wild and out of breath as he announces, "Madame's coming!"

Piper curses and tries to put the camera down as a stern voice calls, "Mr. Jackson, I hope you had enough time to warm up because if you come down from a leap and snap your achilles, I will laugh. Ms. McLean, you are allowed to film as you recover, not distract the class."
