Jessie walked home slowly, unintentionally dragging her feet on the pavement of the sidewalk. She could't help the tears that began to cloud her eyes. Hastily rubbing them away, she continued her walk home.

Once she made it to the doors, she jammed the keys in the slot and threw the doors open, closing them behind her, she set her things down at the base of her staircase and ran up. She ran upstairs and collapsed on her bed, exhausted emotionally, mentally, and physically. Completely 'forgetting' about her homework, she drifted to sleep.

Two silhouettes stood in front of her, she looked to the ground, shackles were around her wrists, as she finally began to pay attention, she saw they were spouting insults at her. "You're not good enough for him!" "You won't ever get him!" "All he sees you as is a piece of luggage to drag around." Whenever she tried to deny their harsh words, they spoke louder, like they were in her head. She felt like screaming, her head throbbed...

2:48 am.

She shot up out of her bed, cold sweat running down her neck. She buried her face in her hands, breathing heavily, were those things true...? She'd never know the answer, she just hoped it wasn't. She slid off of her bed, rubbing her eyes and heading to her door. She walked through it and out to the balcony, where she climbed up the tiles to the top of the roof. The roof was always a place of comfort to her. She could cry, laugh, sing, basically, just be herself without any limitations up there.

She pulled her knees to her chest, setting her chin on the top of her knees. Her lips moved slightly as she mouthed the lyrics to various songs, all involving romance, most of them about failed relationships or one sided love. She looked around, making sure no one was awake or near her, and she began to sing.

I've been watching youFor some time
Can't stop staring
At those oceans eyes
Burning cities
And napalm skies
Fifteen flares inside those ocean eyes
Your ocean eyes
No fair
You really know how to make me cry
When you gimme those ocean eyes
I'm scared
I've never fallen from quite this high
Falling into your ocean eyes
Those ocean eyes
No fair
You really know how to make me cry
When you gimme those ocean eyes
I'm scared
I've never fallen from quite this high
Falling into your ocean eyes
Those ocean eyes
I've been walking through
A world gone blind
Can't stop thinking of your diamond mind
Careful creature
Made friends with time
He left her lonely with a diamond mind
And those ocean eyes
No fair
You really know how to make me cry
When you gimme those ocean eyes
I'm scared
I've never fallen from quite this high
Falling into your ocean eyes
Those ocean eyes
No fair
You really know how to make me cry
When you gimme those ocean eyes
I'm scared
I've never fallen from quite this high
Falling into your ocean eyes
Those ocean eyes
No fair
You really know how to make me cry
When you gimme those ocean eyes
I'm scared
I've never fallen from quite this high
Falling into your ocean eyes
Those ocean eyes
No fair
You really know how to make me cry
When you gimme those ocean eyes
I'm scared
I've never fallen from quite this high
Falling into your ocean eyes
Those ocean eyes

By the end of the song, tears were streaming down her cheeks, and this time, she didn't even bother to wipe them away. She laid down and stared at the stars, dreading the next day, where she'd have to face him again.

"What is he doing to me...?"
