Chapter 11 Solitary Part1

Timeskip to a week after the trip

Seth's POV: Today's my first day free of House Arrest that was put on me the day I passed out when I finished a job. But even though I'm on a job right now with my idols I just keep to myself and isolate myself. "I will take care of the idiots inside and I will safely recover the package" I mutter before running in front of my idols and then swan diving into the shadows. Eventually I make it inside and take out the guards and then sneak around still in shadow mode and find the package we needed to retrieve and so I go back downstairs and open the front door. "Here it is I'll let you guys turn it in I'll be back at the guild hall." I say before walking away ignoring them calling out to me.

Of course I half lied I wasn't staying at the guild waiting forever for them to come back so I decide to go out to the stores and buy some ingredients to cook with and then come back and get busy in the kitchen. Eventually the team comes back and I had just put the final touches on dinner so I see them all sit at one of the tables and so I pass out the plates of food I made for them. "Enjoy I made it myself from a recipe I recently learned." Is all I say to them before turning to walk away. "Thanks Seth but aren't you joining us? Erza asks" "No thanks I made enough for the team and besides I'm not all that hungry I'll just make myself a sandwich and grab a cup of sand pudding I made for dessert that's in the fridge and call it a day." I said as I walk away from my team.———————————————————————
I then do as I said I would and then head upstairs silently. Once I had finished the sandwich I grab my violin case from under my bed and open it, I rest it on my shoulder and my chin on the violin and play not caring that my door is cracked open and so the patrons in the hall who are either chatting or brawling are able to hear it.

Erza's POV: I hear the sound of a beautiful but sorrowful sounding instrument and so Lucy tells me it's someone playing the violin and so I know the only one here from the kind of background that would have that instrument besides Lucy is Seth so I go up to his room and knock on his door. "Yeah" comes his voice as he stops playing. "It's Erza I wanted to check on you." I reply. "I'm fine really nothing to worry about please just go enjoy the rest of your evening and I will see you on our next shared job." Seth says before stepping out with a bathtowl over his shoulder and pajamas in his hand. I just take his answer and drop it for now.

Once I rejoin the others they ask me how he is. "He claims he's fine and we don't need to worry and he wants us to just enjoy the evening and he will see us next time we all share a job." I reply. "Maybe he is only saying that but maybe he is distancing himself from us because Porlyusica told us to have him on house arrest without allowing him to first wake up and voice his own opinions, today was the first day he was rid of the house arrest and he just doesn't want to admit this to us, I know if someone withheld info from me and didn't let me voice my own thoughts I'd distance myself from those involved." Lucy said.

"Maybe just after everything that's happened he now feels the need to distance himself so we don't witness such things ever again it must make him feel emotionally guilty having us his idol team see him collapse twice in front of them." Wendy adds in. "I'm sure you're both right that must be why he played such a beautifully sorrowful sounding instrument." Mira says as she walks past us to her brother and sister.

I then sit and think of everything the 3 girls had just said and it all seems to fit together. "I just hope he doesn't do anything dangerous in his isolation." I say as I look up at the ceiling. "I think I'll pass on dessert tonight you all and just go take a bath and then head to bed." Gray says as he gets up from the table. "I think that's what Seth is doing right now but sure go for it." I say as I look at my friend.

Gray's POV: I go up to the guys bath and sure enough I see Seth's cloths in one of the cubbies and so I put mine a few away from him and then I go step into the water. He just heats the water with his magic like the first time we shared a bath together here and of course he keeps himself in a corner and just as I open my mouth to speak he summons small cyclones of fire and water in his hands and claps them together and then lifts his arms up and steam completely surrounds him and hides him from me.———————————————————————
I then hear a splash of water from his direction and then a few moments another splash along with a sigh of contentment the steam then vanishes but so does he so I look and sure enough his shadow is still visible under the water so I see it climb out and it walks to the cubbies. I decide to get out and get dressed as well. Even once he finished getting changed I see he is wearing his robe that is long enough to hide his legs and he has the hood up and is still in shadow mode. "Yo Seth what's with all the secrecy why you hiding in the shadows." I say to in his direction.———————————————————————
He shakes his head and then walks away and so I just go to my room and try my best to leave him alone, as I'm sitting on my bed waiting for sleep to claim me I hear the familiar sound of a flute being played so I look out my window and sure enough Seth is sitting on the roofing of his window and is no longer in shadows and is the source of the music but of course has his hood up so he can't see that I have my window open and am watching———————————————————————
Soon he stops playing and removes his hood before joining his hands together and then looks at the sky and I hear him say 'Carry my wish oh winds to the stars that light my path this night, Carry this wish swift and true, May the song my heart sings be heard without a spoken word, Bring me a peaceful rest and may the one I care for in my dreams know these feelings of mine in due time.' He then climbs back into his room and shuts his window so I shut mine as well and just go to sleep as I try to decipher what he means in what he said.———————————————————————
Seth's POV: I wake up early before the rest of the team and grab breakfast on the way out and as soon as I reach the doorway I hear Erza say my name so I run and head for the trains so I can go to Stella's fashion boutique because I know she will be up early stressing over her designs and so I walk in and talk designs with her and tell her about some things I'm interested in making for myself and something I want made for a certain someone to give them at the christmas gift swap.

"Seth these sound like fascinating ideas you have for yourself and of course I can make you those custom slippers for that special person, The special clothes you have in mind for yourself are gonna be a bit of a challenge to be triggered by when you turn into an elemental but I'm sure I can find a way to create them for you and you should get your winter look in late november so it should be in just in time for the chilly weather." Stella says happily. I then thank her for taking on this extra work and I tell her I have a feeling that people will be ordering all my pieces when they see them. I then leave and head back to the guild and of course everyone is up by the time I get back and my idols want me with them for a job so I give in and go with them.
