Gray's POV: It is the day of the trial and we are already on tenrou island, I just groan as the route we got had a puzzle on it as I didn't want a test of wit I wanted a test of strength. Seth just stops me as I try to walk. He then summons a funnel of fire and a funnel of water in his hands, clapping them together and then spreading it, making steam coat the room revealing beams bouncing around in many different directions. "Doesn't seem to be any natural light from the sun to help us through shadow magic so this part seems to be all mine then." He says as he looks around.

I just watch my partner leap and twirl and bend around all the beams he then presses a stone of the wall next to the door. After a few more tests of wit we are finally face to face with an opponent. "So I get to test my magic against Gray Fullbuster and The Steam Prince, what a glorious day for me." The woman says. "I've heard about you from Mira, you're the royal executioner that uses colored paper." Seth barks as he swirls his magic in his hand. "Yes indeed I am, and I will enjoy watching you fail." She replies before launching her attacks.

Eventually we are split up by her and she puts a dome of indigo paper around Seth, yet she feels that's not enough for him so she adds a dome of orange paper. "Indigo papers hold the power of love so they will cause you pain of grieving over lost love, orange is new it's the color of fear meaning your greatest fear will be brought to the forefront of your mind and make you feel your living a endless nightmare." She says as she laughs sickeningly. I angrily attack her in hope it would cancel out her papers effects, Yet as I do I hear a bone chilling scream that I heard only once before as the paper domes scatter.

It was Seth but this time he wasn't consumed by rage, instead he was consumed by sadness and had turned into a water elemental, his hair curving to look like a ocean wave, his eyes lined by dark blue as his body was a soft teal color, while his arms and legs were adorned with whirlpool shaped braces of the same dark blue that lined his now white eyes. I watch him launch himself at our opponent and ruthlessly attacks, eventually she gives up and yet Seth is so consumed by his emotions he just raises a hand and then balls it into a fist and draws a sphere shape. A giant bubble of water surrounds the paper executioner and she starts to choke as the bubble gets smaller and smaller until it's only around her head. "Seth stop it, she has already surrendered." I say as I look over at him. ———————————————————————
Suddenly the bubble vanished and I see Seth turn back to normal, he then drops to his knees breathing heavily and rapidly. I just help him to his feet and we walk off to the rest of the trial. We even get to fight Erza and after her taunting him enough Seth goes lava mode and depletes even more magic, However despite the toll it takes on him we are able to overpower her. Eventually we find the first masters grave site and get ready to battle Master Makarov.———————————————————————
Seth ends up using all his magic talents and remaining magic power to dodge, sneak and get us the upper hand, We triumph over the master and he rewards us with the title of S-class. As our marks shine at this Seth just drops to his knees again before leaning against the tree ready to pass out from exhaustion of overdoing it. "I told you master I'd be better as the assistant rather then the candidate, And I told Erza long ago that I'd make sure I'd help my candidate win the trial, seems I was right on both accounts." Seth says in a weak exhausted voice as his eyes shut.

I just carry him on my back all the way back to the boat off the island, I even carry him from the train station to his dorm room and carefully lay him on his bed. "Spend the rest of today resting to recover all the magic you lost, I'll bring you dinner later on." I say as I slide some stray hairs out of his face and drape the blanket over him. True to my word I bring him dinner and he is awake so he carefully eats and then after a loud burp takes his meds and goes back to sleep. I just bring the empty dishes downstairs to the bar and then go up to my room to sleep as well.
