Chapter 36 - Wait for Me

So this is the last chapter :( But don't worry the sequel will be out very soon so make sure you read it!

Jason's POV

I woke up and looked over to my side relieved to see Brit still there, at least she didn't get up and fall over again. I chuckled thinking about last night, her face was hilarious, and after we had watched a ridiculous amount of Disney films (even though I protested) she fell asleep in my arms and I shortly fell asleep after. I yawned thinking about it and slowly let myself fall back into comfortable darkness.

Brittani's POV

I woke up, aching everywhere and for a second I wondered why that was until my eyes landed on my boyfriends extremely heavy head that was making a hole in my shoulder blade, really! Why is his head this heavy it's not like he has that much of a brain, sometimes I question if he has a brain at all! I mean all his brain consists of is guns and other.....stupid....gang stuff! Uggh! I sighed loudly trying to wake him up but no I swear to god if he doesn't get off me I'm gonna scream, but that still won't wake him up!

I nudged him but that did nothing so it slowly escalated to me beating him in the shoulder but still, no nothing. I tried plan B moving him myself but I swear to god he keeps bricks in his head or something. "Jason?" I whispered, "Jase, Jase, Jase, Jase, Jasoooon, Wakeee Uppppp!" I moaned until he moved slightly. "Shut up" he growled huskily. "Move your brick head then!" I replied. "What was that?!" He growled opening one eye. "I said.... move your head please?" I said sweetly, adding an award winning smile for effect. "Yeah that's what I thought you said...." he replied before laying back down, still nothing achieved. "Jason!" I barked, he answered with a groan. "What the hell do you want from me woman!". I thought about the most bitchy thing I could say but then realised who I was with and used the answer that seemed the most.......Jason appropriate. "I want your head off of my shoulder" then pause and...... award winning smile! "So first you wake me up, which I'm sure we had a rule against and then you won't shut up!" he said groaning. "Yeah but your heavy!" I whined, pouting. "Ugh fine!" he sighed and I did a victory dance in my head, that was until Jason was on top of me pinning me down! "What the fuck are you doing?!" I tried to yell but his weight was crushing me. "Showing you why you shouldn't wake me up!" he growled. Shit! "I can't breathe!" I whined. "Tough" he replied blankly. "Please?" I pouted causing him to chuckle and roll off of me. I could finally breathe! "But I swear to god if you ever wake me up again, you'll regret it, got it?" he said seriously I nodded furiously. I'm not in a hurry to find out how I would regret it and I would rather not know to be honest.

I got out of bed stretching my sore muscles from brick head. I chuckle at the new nickname. "What are you laughing at?" Jason asked squinting, looking suspicious. "Oh nothing" I replied cheerfully. "Brittani...." he said darkly but before he could finish I ran out of the door. As much as I like the nickname I just can't imagine him appreciating it as much as me......Yeah probably best not to tell him.

Jason's POV

"Brittani....." I said cautiously to her but she just ran out of the door. I shook my head and groaning before going to find her, she's dangerous when she's on her own. Example A - last night when she decided to go on a little walk and ended up falling on her face!, Need I say more?

I walked down the stairs quietly, deciding to sneak up on her. She was in the kitchen making toast, I chuckled as I got behind her and yanked her up over my shoulder as she screamed. I chuckled as I sat her down on the kitchen counter. "Shit, you scared me!" she yelled, making me laugh harder. "It really wasn't that funny" she said pouting but that just made me laugh harder. I controlled myself with a few breaths. Brittani was still pouting and I had to hold back another laughing fit.

After breakfast I told Brit to get ready because I was gonna take her out for a bit. She ran up the stairs excited and came back down in about fifteen minutes looking stunning, as always. Her hair was in soft curls and she was wearing a blue strapless summer dress, she looked beautiful, and she's mine!

" You look stunning" I complimented, she blushed "And you look extremely handsome....boyfriend" she replied, winking at the boyfriend bit. "Ready?" I asked and she nodded "Then let us go!"

I held her hand and led her to the car, the drive took around ten minutes. We pulled up in front of this small Italian restaurant. She was grinning as we walked "Aw it's beautiful" she said in awe, "Just like you then?" I replied smoothly. She blushed again, we walked into the front door and we're met with a happy woman who looked about twenty, twenty one-ish. "Hi, do you have a reservation?" I nodded and after she showed us to our table.

Our waiter came over and asked for drinks, we both just ordered water. It all went by in a blur the whole day. I don't even remember what I ordered!
But as soon as I knew it we were driving back, both extremely full. The drive was quick and we didn't talk much. We pulled up to the house and I went over to Brit's door and opened it for her. We walked back to the house hand in hand and changed into something comfortable as we both settled onto the couch watching TV.

Brittani's POV

We were just sat there when we heard the sirens and both looked at each other worried. Jason walked to the door with me behind him. "Hey, I'll go look yeah, you stay here!" He stated "B...b..but?" I muttered and he looked to me "This is not up for discussion!" he replied before kissing me passionately "I love you yeah? Remember that!" he said hurriedly, I nodded "I love you too" I said sincerely.

He nodded before kissing me one last time in desperation. He walked out of the door and I waited a minute before going after him, I never was good at following orders. I saw him stood in the forrest that surrounded the house with police sirens everywhere. I ran up to him "Jase what's happening?" I said confused. He looked at me with sadness in his eyes, "Listen, they've come to arrest me but I need you to promise something okay?" I nodded furiously waiting for hint I continue " I need you to wait for me Brit your mine yeah? and I'll come and get you when I get out promise" he said sincerely.

He kissed me for the last time, desperately trying to hold on to me. "Everybody freeze, hands on your heads!" A voice screamed (I'm guessing the police) I followed the instructions and surprisingly so did Jason. The officers came over and handcuffed Jason saying the whole police speech "I'm placing you under arrest" and all that.... And I was taken away by another officer. I looked back to Jason to see him in the police car and he was staring at me, I nodded reminding him that I'll remember the promise I made and then he was gone......

Done!! Sequel is going to be out soon and is going to be called "The Dark in his Eyes" like the title? But anyway I thought the ending was pretty good, I am actually really excited to write this sequel and I want to make it better than this book so I'm going to start working on it now. Do you think Brittani will keep her promise? What's gonna happen to Jason? Comment?
