Waking up in bed to a stranger she barely knows was normal to Valerie. Of course she had made sure they seemed clean enough to where she didn't get anything from them. If she got an STD she might take her knife and put it through her own heart for once.
Her eye opened to look at who's chest she had her hand on. This guy had brown hair, dangerously close to the color of Sebastian's. For a second she thought it was him but his steely grey eyes that were staring at her eliminated that possibility. She might've been happy or excited if Sebastian was laying there, looking at her with those bright blue eyes but she wanted to erase that thought as soon as she had it.
The memory of what had happened the night before entered her mind. She was mildly upset about Sebastian's rejecting her and decided to still have her second version of fun. She found him in a bar wearing a nice suit, looking like an easy target. He wasn't drunk, looked like the designated driver with three times the usual amount of muscle. She flirted until she got her way and took him to her house, having her fair share of intimacy for the night.
She lightly pushed herself up onto her elbow, removing her hand from his chest. She was sore, no doubt about that. A hand lightly traced her spine from behind her, sending a shiver up the opposite way. The feeling wasn't a pleasant one to her and especially with a stranger.
"One more round before I leave?" his deep voice brought a sick feeling to Valerie's stomach like what she had done with this man was wrong. She lightly pulled herself away from his touch and up onto her feet. She never used to think of this one-night stand thing as being very wrong and the thought of Sebastian having that influence on her brought fear crawling up her spine.
"I think last night's two rounds were enough. I'd appreciate if you would leave now," she grabbed a clean white robe from the hook next to the bed. They weren't in her room, it was too dark and red. They were in her red room, a room she used for one-night stands only. The room had heavy red curtains that casted a red tint to the rest of the room during the day. The floor was a deep, blood-like red in case she'd brought the wrong kind of person into her home. The bed was a deep black, the sheets under the large duvet being pure white in contrast. A wine cabinet was in the corner of the room with a wide variety of wines and wine glasses.
As Valerie was looking for the right wine to eliminate the sick feelings in her stomach (preferably red) an arm wrapped around her waist. She raised her head from the wine as this guy kissed her neck. A dark anger rose in the pit of her stomach, crushing the sick feeling along its path. She quickly turned around in his arm and pushed him away from her. She wiped her neck, glaring at this man that she just so happened to feel like killing.
"What the hell?" he stated as he threw his hands out wide. Valerie put her hands behind her back, silently searching the open drawer for her extra knife. The man started to come closer to her, making the anger rise faster.
"I said that I would appreciate you leaving," her fingers wrapped around the familiar handle of her extra knife. She'd used it quite a few times before now.
"I had other plans," the man grabbed her arms and tried to push her into the drawer. She forced her arm up, showing her knife to the man. His eyes widened with a deep shock and he let her go, slowly backing up before running for the door. Valerie ran towards him, determination filling her steps.
The guy got to the stairs before Valerie drew her arm back, throwing the knife at his leg. It dug into his calf, her accuracy bringing the smallest smile to her lips. He let out a deep groan, bending his leg slightly but determined to go down the stairs. She would've had to go to her room to get her main knife, a bigger, sharper version of her extra that was now trapped in this man's leg so she skipped getting the main knife and jumped for the man, tackling him into a roll down the stairs. Valerie held her eyes shut tightly as they crashed down the stairs, pain filling her already sore body with every step they tumbled upon.
