Draco immediately got up off the floor and ran over to catch Grania as she fell to floor, just in time. Grania was gasping for air but was smiling up at him. He looked down at her not knowing what to do. She took a bullet for him.
All he could get out was, "Why did you do that!"
She gave a tired laugh, smiled and said, "Because I-I l-love you."
She looked at him as the light in her eyes faded away. Draco couldn't help the tears that fell from his eyes. He wished so much it could have been him that was dead and not her. He blamed himself, but most of all he blamed the curse. He cursed himself and everyone, but most of all Ron. He forgot that he was the one who did this. Draco looked over at Ron and couldn't help the rage that came out of him. He put Grania's body delicately on the floor and stalked over towards Ron who was still in shock.
"You did this."
"Beast I didn't mean to kill her."
"But you meant to kill someone. And too bad for you but I don't forgive someone who kills someone I love."
Ron couldn't comprehend that he could talk because he was partially still drunk. That's when the beast charged and very easily in a fit of rage killed Ron by ripping him apart. When he was done he turned around and remembered Grania was dead. He walked over to her and picked her back up and held her in his arms and cried. He cried so much he didn't know what to do.
Theodore looked out the window again and thought it was another person they needed to fend off. Much to his amazement he saw Grania riding towards the castle. Theodore ran to the door and once she entered the castle she was out of breath and was looking for Ron.
Theodore yelled to her, "You got some nerve coming back here." She tried to explain, "Do you know how much you hurt him? And now led someone here to hurt him? You are the lowest of the low. You do not deserve him, and all that he has done for you."
"If you would let me explain, I'm trying to stop Ron before he got here but he wouldn't listen to me. And for your information I love him, but you were right, I don't deserve him, but I won't let him die." Grania said angry as she ran toward the west wing of the castle.
Theodore was taken by her words and ran to tell the guys and they started to head up to Draco's room. By the time they go there they saw Draco crying as he held onto her lifeless body. Draco looked down at Grania's lifeless body. He couldn't believe she loved him. She wanted to come back? He couldn't believe he was so close to having it all, but then it was all swiped from him. He now knew what the people he killed were feeling. He felt like his whole world crumbled down around him.
He also knew that the time had stopped and he would remain a beast. What's the point of living when she wasn't around to share it with him? He wished so much the tables were turned and tat it was him that was killed and not her. But it was all too late, now he is only left what the memories of what use to be and the thoughts of how it could've been. Life was now pointless for him.
As they stood there, they watched as the final pedal fell and landed on the table. It was too late. They all lost something, and soon everything will be gone. They all looked at each other sorrowful. They knew their time together was done. They had all been such good friends and would continue to be, until the end of the line. And soon one by one they were feeling the change.
"Goodbye Harry, my love." Ginny said, as she was looking up at the night sky. As she turned into a full blown tea pot a single tear slipped down her porcelain face. They watched with tears in their eyes, knowing they will never be together.
Pansy was having trouble staying in her spot and fell into Blaise's arms. She looked at him one last time as he spoke, "I am sorry my love. I have let you down." Blaise looked down with shame.
"No my dear look at me, look at me. I am very happy I met you. You are my life. You could never let me down."
"Do you regret it?" Blaise asked.
She knew what he was talking about, "If I had a hundred crowns I would give them all up in the end, like I did before. Just for you, my love." Was her last words to her love as she turned into a complete feather duster.
"My love?" Blaise started to shake her. "Pans?" He laid her down on the ground and looked over at Ginny who has already turned.
He turned to look at his best friend Theodore, who was ready to turn into a clock any second. Blaise sighed.
"Blaise, I'm scared." Theodore confessed.
"There is nothing to be scared about." Blaise assured him.
"Blaise, my friend, I am happy I knew you. Couldn't have asked for a better friend." Theodore was able to get out before he himself turned into the clock.
"Neither could I." Was what Blaise got out as he walked over to be by his wife, before he was turned into a candelabra for eternity.
The castle went black and all the lights died. Everyone's worse fear came to them and they accepted it with grace and dignity like they always were taught.
