What Don thinks of Joe. 

Joe was Don's idol. Aside from Marvelous, Joe is the one that Don look up to. Not only Joe is an amazing sword fighter, he is a great comrade. 

When Don first joined the pirate crew, he lack fighting skills. It was thanked to Joe, who patiently teach him. From that time on, Don was grateful when Joe is always around. He hoped one day, he could stand by Joe's shoulder, fighting with him side by side. 

Don could clearly remembered the time when he was severely injured. Joe was one of people to take care of him. Since Luka is never good with those, and as for Marvelous, that would be impossible. So Joe was the only one to stay and take care of him. 

During that time, Don blame himself for being so useless. Right at that moment, Joe has reminded him that "No one is perfect. You have to train, always train, to become more strong." 

Thank to the advice, Don improved days by days. He became a better fighter, and developed a better skills in using guns. 

What Joe thinks of Don 

Although Don was weak, and lacked in fighting skill, Don's determination and kindness make Joe feels comfortable around. 

Joe always looking out for Don. Watch him like a hawk, protecting as well as helping him to become a better fighter. To him, Don is one of those comrade that needs the most trainings, since he never has any fighting skills. 

Joe clearly remembered there was that one time, where Don was severely injured because taking the hits for him. Thus, Joe felt extremely worried and guilty, so he volunteered to stay behind and take care of Don. 

He could hear Don blaming himself for being useless. That was he said, "No one is perfect. You have to train, always train, to become more strong." 

From that time on, Joe could see Don's improvement.  He was proud of how Don's fighting skill and shooting skill exceeded. It was like a new Don. Yet, Joe still lookout for the little Hakase (博士) .
