"A dynasty that falls apart" 

Takeru thought. He had sat there for 12 hours now. Staring at the sky. A few days ago, was supposed to be the day of their 5th anniversary. But why, did everything became like this. If he had reacted sooner, Mako wouldn't be unconscious right now. 

Flashback

On their anniversary night, both Mako and Takeru were walking down the street after their dinner. As they were about to cross the street, a fast-driving car went straight toward them. Before he could realize it, Mako already pushed him away and she took the full hit. 

The car sped away after it saw the police is coming. Takeru panicked. He ran up to Mako, shouting in tears, "Mako! Mako! Wake up! Look at me. Look at me" 

Mako's face shown clear pain. She looked at Takeru, trying to reach her hand on his face. Takeru noticed and grabbed the hold of her hand. 

"I'm glad you're okay Takeru. You must stay safe okay. Don't try to hide from the attackers." she coughed. 

"Sshh. Mako. You just keep your breath right now. The ambulance is coming soon." Takeru muttered, hugging her tightly. 

So she knew. She knew that he had been receiving life-threatening letters. She sharp as always. But why? Why didn't she confronted him? 

Soon the ambulance arrived and Mako was driven to the hospital. She was put in the ER room, as Takeru waited outside. Jii-san arrived as well along with the Kuroko. They tried to ease Takeru's worry but it doesn't work. Soon, the surgery ended. It was reported to him that his wife, Mako, had survived but fell into the coma. 

When Takeru heard that, he lost his calm and started launching toward Mako's bed. Begging her to wake up. Begging her to open her eyes and looked at him. 

End of Flashback

"I will find that person and made him pay, Mako." Takeru stated. 

"Otou-san! Otou-san!" a voice called him. Takeru looked through the door, it was their five years old son, Takagi. 

"What's wrong, Takagi?" he asked, hugging Takagi. 

"Can I visit Oka-san today? I finished everything. My homework, My sword practice, My Kanji practice." Takagi asked, with puppy eyes. Takeru chuckled as the cuteness. Takagi is their only hope right now. Takeru was wondering if Mako will react if Takagi's voice was calling her. 

"Sure. Go change first, Takagi. Otou-san will also go wash up." Takeru stated. Takagi smiled happily as one of the Kurokos guided him in. 

They arrived at the hospital room. Takagi ran up to Mako's bed. Laying his head on her shoulder. 

"Oka-san. How are you today?" Takagi asked. 

Silence. 

"Oka-san, today I got a 100 on my math test." Takagi proudly stated, showing her his exam paper. 

Silence. 

Takeru standing. Hoping Mako would react, just one bit. 

"Oka-san. wake up oka-san. I miss you. Otou-san had been helping me with homeworks but he's not good at you." Takagi started to cry. Takeru walked up and hugged him. 

"Otou-san, why isn't she responding?" Takagi asked, trying to wipe his tears. 

"I wish I know why too, Takagi." Takeru stated, patting his son's head. 

"Mako. I know you can hear me. Please wake up. Takagi and I miss you. Takagi needs you. And... I need you too." Takeru muttered, grabbing one of Mako's hand. He started to feel a squeeze. 

"Mako? Was that you?" Takeru's eyes widened. "Can you squeeze my hand again?" 

Squeeze

"She's waking up. Takagi, oka-san is waking up." Takeru stated as he dashed out to find the doctor. 

The doctor did all the necessary check-ups for Mako. Finally, he reported to Takeru that she waking up. Takeru and Takagi hugged each other. The doctor smiled and left. Takeru thanked him and walked back into the room. 

Takagi ran in first straight to Mako's bed. 

"Oka-san. Oka-san. You will wake up soon right." Takagi excitedly exclaimed. 

"Now, now. Takagi. Let your oka-san rest." Takeru instructed, Takagi pouted but nodded. 

"Mako. I'll wait for you. No matter how long it takes" Takeru muttered. 

"To that dynasty that will never fall apart."
