Third Person POV
"So he's the King?" Clare asked with curiosity scattered all over her eyes.
"Pretty much. No worries though, he gets less intimidating if you keep encountering him everyday." Hitodama proclaimed.
"Hito... why are you so friendly towards me?" She asked yet another question.
"Well... you're different Clare..."
"There's a sort of magnetic aura about you that pulls me closer." Hito declared, giving his puzzled companian direct eye contact.

Hitodama and Clare decided to head back to their last class together with deafening silence.
Suddenly, a flash of smoke appeared before them. Hito's coughs echoed through the halls as Clare tightened her gas mask which she claimed after disremembering it during PE. Clare quickly covered Hito's mouth with a handkerchief which she kept in the pockets of her thin skirt before the thick, unknown, blinding grey smoke ran through the halls.
They were under attack, which they were very prominent of.
Without a second thought, they both sprinted down the hall as they heard footsteps chasing after their every move. Hito and Clare counted the amount of steps following them, only identify one attacker within the smoke. Hito held the handkerchief to his mouth while abruptly stopping Clare after they turned a sharp left turn, waiting to catch their follower.
Before the attacker could do a full turn, Hito roughly grabbed the attacker's neck while Clare strengthened her right leg and did a solid final blow on the person's stomach with her knee.
Hito looked shocked at their injured Queen with blood dripping from her mouth as she faceplanted to the floor without a single voice of agony, completely passed out.
Hito tried to hold his giggle.
"I think you went a little too hard on her abdomen." Hito said to Clare with a visible face of satisfaction.
Clare shrugged like nothing happened.
"I at least thought our Queen could hold a weak attack like that. I didn't even hit her with full strength." She said nonchalantly.
Hitodama recieved shivers through her calm words. That obviously wasn't a weak attack if it left someone passed out in less than 3 seconds. No usage of her powers were even felt by Hito. Although.. that wasn't the real question...
why'd she attack us?
Hito thought as Clare stared down at the Queen. She remembered seeing her follow her and Hito before they entered the hallways towards their last class period.
"Hito... she was after me." Clare said as she looked up to Hito.
"She was challenging you to a duel... oh god... A DUEL!" Hito said, putting both of his sweating hands to his head while pacing back and forth.
"And..?" Clare questioned as Hito continued to pace back and forth.
"And... and you defeated her!" He yelled with shock and happiness.
"You're the Queen Clare! You just became Queen!" He exclaimed jumping up and down.
"But you helped me. Isn't that against the rules of dueling?" Clare questioned, confused with everything that was being thrown at her.
"As long as you got the last final hit, it's still in the limits of becoming a Queen." Hito said, still in full shockness of what happened to his boring, ordinary life.
"We need to head directly to the office to announce what happened." Hito said as he swung Kitsune, the deafeted Ex-Queen, on his shoulder.

Hito happily shoved the door open and spoke in a loud and fake gentleman accent,"The Queen has been defeated!"
