Of course leave it to Isabelle to drag you out to the club when it's freezing cold and raining but still shove a black mini dress on you and curl your hair-at least that was warm!!!
Jace said he couldn't make it. That went something like this....
'JACEEEEE!!!' Izzy screamed
'What....'he replied
'Are you coming??' I asked
He immediately stuttered and said
'Uhh no.. I'm uhhh I'm....'
"go on" Izzy insisted
" I'M F...F.....FIGHTING OFF HUNCHBACK CRAZY GREATER DEMONS WITH METAL HEALTH ISSUES!!!!!" He suddenly screamed.
........yes that is what came to my head first
"What?" I gawked at him.
"Yeh..that's what I'm doing." He grinned sheepishly, Izzy simply rolled her eyes and went "yeh yeh sure." Before dragging me and Alec out.
Time skippy
We were on our way back dragging a drunken Isabelle with us. There was an awkward atmosphere surrounding me and Alec. Before he finally voiced his thoughts, however not releasing the tight atmosphere.
"Why did you forgive Jace?" Was all he asked.
However I, quite perplexed by such a sudden question, hesitated before responding with a: "I don't know."
All Alec did was stare at me bewildered and urging me to continue; so I obliged and voiced my thoughts dazing off into a sort of trance. " well I guess it was just that I felt pressured to accept and continue." Was all I said.
"Ok." Was all the reply I got from a blank-faced Alec before we both turned our heads towards the mumbling Izzy inbetween us. We laughed. All troubles forgotten in that moment of laughter. Just us in a light air, the calm breeze blowing presenting but a small challenge to push past. Almost nothing against our conjoined strength. It was all we needed.
Our laughter came to a slow stop as we reached the institute. The grand building standing tall in all it's glory underneath a blank, black, beautiful sky shining like a lone star in the eyes of a shadowhunter. It's elegance invisible to the blessed eyes of a mundane. Hiding from all eying eyes. Me and Alec simply entered the institute, Alec leaving Izzy (who was now fast asleep) for me to coax as he left to his room for the night, I couldn't help but let my wandering gaze follow him back before finally moving towards the direction of Isabelle's room.
My mind was at ease. I hadn't a problem in the world.
For now..
