Misunderstanding [彡]

(F/N)'s pov

It's late. Far later than the time he would usually arrive home. Just where on earth could he be? I sat on the couch in the living room, waiting anxiously for my beloved to return home. My fingers ran over the smooth surface of the couch, sending light shivers up my arm. He couldn't be cheating on me...right? The thought of it made my stomach swirl, there's no way he would do that.

"Levi...." I murmured to myself, I felt my eyes starting to droop downwards. I used every ounch of strength left in my body to keep myself awake. I really hope that he's okay.

Suddenly, the door clicked open. My head jerked at the sound, my body flew off the couch and towards the door. When the door opened, I wrapped my arms around the man that stood at the door, pulling him into my warm embrace.

Instead of returning my passionate display of affection, he simply pushed me away. A sharp sting struck my heart. It was as if my entire world was falling.

"Levi..." I said, hurt evident in my eyes

He didn't even make eye contact with me, he just closed the door and walked past me. I instinctively reached out and grab his arm, tears making its way to my eyes. They were threatening to fall as my hand wrapped around the soft material of his white long sleeved shirt.

It was as if my world fell apart when he yanked his arm out of my grip.

"Leave me alone (F/N)" he said coldly, eyes still avoiding my gaze

I couldn't stand it anymore. Tears rushed down my cheeks, trailing down my face.

"Where were you? I was worried about you!" I shouted, my voices laced with genuine concern as tears continued to fall

He remained silent.

"Why are you ignoring me?! Did I do something wrong?" I asked, grabbing on to his arm again.

"CUT IT OUT. I'M FINE ALRIGHT!" He said angrily, yanking his arm with even more force than before

"No you're not" I said softly, sniffling in the next batch of tears

"Go to sleep, I can deal with it myself"

I left the living room without another word. My heart was torn and shattered. The man that was my world was crumbling before me, yet I couldn't do anything about it. I made my way to the bed that we shared but instead of waiting for him, I turned my back to the side and broke down. I immediately stopped when I heard the door open but I couldn't control the sniffling.

I heard the light tapping of his feet and felt the other side of the bed being shifted. Pulling, the blankets higher, I tried to find comfort in its warmth instead of the usual hugs and cuddles I would get from Levi. I took a deep breath, closing my eyes and feeling sleep coming to claim me

[The next morning]

I woke up to a soft morning glow shining through the window, illuminating the entire room, lighting up my (H/L) (H/C) just like a halo. When my senses started to return, I realized that the spot beside me was empty. Feeling the tug on my heart on remembering yesterday's happenings. I wanted to curl up on the bed and go back to sleep but the other half of me wanted to go and check to see if he was alright. Even though I was upset, I still cared a lot for him.

Leaving the comfortable embrace of my bed, I made my way downstairs to the living room. Upon reaching, I noticed a sleeping figure on the sofa, and it was none other than....Levi

Suddenly feeling remorseful, It's because of me that he has to sleep here instead. Thinking about it makes my heart ache, he didn't want to sleep with me. Knowing that he could no longer stand me, I decided to have a sleepover at Mikasa's house.After letting her know of my visit, I packed my clothes into my small luggage bag and tiptoed downstairs, not wanting to wake him up.
