So here is a story that the Gothic fever dream has been reminding me to write for a while, so here we are the origin of tea. SO YEAH today I will be telling you the tale of tea (exciting I know).

So one day a guy had some hot water that he had just boiled so it wouldn't have germs in it (don't ask how this guy knew about germs he just did OK). So yeah he had some water and it was still super freaking warm and he knew he couldn't drink it so he set it aside and went to go admire the scenery around his house when he came across a plant. Now this plant smelled super strong and really pleasant so he decided to pick some of it and bring it back to his house so he could figure out what to do with it. When he walked back to his house he realized that he didn't know if it was poisons or something like that so he gave it to his friend who was staying over for the night to try it, he figured if his friend dropped dead then it wasn't safe to eat. So he gave it to his friend and spoiler alert the friend didn't die. Now let's get back to that hot water, right now it was still pretty warm so the guy grabbed the plant to put in one of the baskets he had and went out to go check up on the water. The water was cooled enough to be handled so he started to put some of it into some cups for him and his friend. However, when he put it into the cup a leaf of the plant fell in. The guy started freaking out and frantically looking around for one of the baskets so he could put the plant away and not drop it into his water anymore. It took about five minutes but he eventually did find a basket and he put the plant and the leaf that had fallen into the water in the basket.

Now the guy knew that the plant was okay to eat since his friend had eaten it so he decided he would still drink the water, just to see what would happen. He took the two cups, went inside and gave the cup without the leaf to his friend to drink from. When he took a drink of his own cup however, he realized that the water tasted somewhat like the plant. The guy thought this was cool so he continued to put different plants into the water and drinking it. He also changed it up a bit sometimes and he discovered that the water tasted best when it was hot and the leaves had been in there for about five minutes. Soon he started telling other people about this crazy water stuff and they realized that it had some essentially magical properties if made the right way.

The rest doesn't really matter, it just kind of spread across the world like wild fire. There you have it, the 100% toooooootaly true story of the origin of tea.

Well that's all for now, I need to go and get the goth nations fox out of my house. I leave you with these parting words... STAY HYDRATED AND BE GOOD.
