Chapter 24: U Got It Bad

 Melanie arrives at Jake's house and she gets out of the car. Melanie really didn't think this whole thing through but she can't turn back now. Melanie goes up and knocks on the door. Melanie starts to feel nervous.

Meanwhile with Jake and his family. Jake's mom says Jake someone's knocking on the door would you like me to get it for you? Jake yells yes mom. Jake's mom goes to the door and opens it. Jake's mom says Hi and you are? Melanie says Hi i'm Melanie i'm here to see Jake if he's home? Jake's mom says Hi i'm Jake's mom Lee it's so nice to finally meet you Melanie come on in she opens the door more for her to let her in. Melanie says thank you it's nice to finally meet you too. Jake's mom yells Jake you have a visitor. Jake yells from the kitchen mom I'm not really up for visitors i'm trying to figure out how to ask Melanie to come over and meet you all. Jake's Mom yells back okay fine i'll just let the visitor know that and then she turns to Melanie. I'm sorry Melanie apparently Jake's not up for visitors. Jake yells mom it can't be Melanie as the visitor she had a date she's probably still on her date wait a minute and he runs to from the kitchen to see Melanie sitting on the couch with his mother. Jake says well then I guess I'll just have her meet you all now since she's here but I'm talking to her first. Jake's mom says sure do what you want and it was nice meeting you Melanie hopefully you will stay so all of us can no more about you? Melanie says it was nice meeting you too and i'll stay if that's what Jake wants. Jenny yells from the upstairs Melanie's here her cars outside she better be staying. Jake says well I think Jenny settled that for all of us. Melanie says it sure seems like it. Jake's mom says yeah i'll be in the kitchen. Jake says okay mom. Jake's mom leaves to the kitchen. Jake says what are you doing here Melanie? I thought you were on a date with T.C? Melanie says I was but it ended maybe about an 1 and 15 minutes ago and I was home for about 30 minutes talking to my sisters and now here I am. Jake says well why did the date end early? Melanie says because I realized that I am still in love with you and that I can't move on when there's something still between us. Jake says okay well since you're already here and everyone is going to be nosy do you wanna stay and meet everyone? Melanie says sure but I think your whole family is only hiding behind that wall listening to everything. Jake says probably that's how they are. Jenny says hey that's not nice and I just give us all away didn't I? Jake's mom says yes you did and it's not just me and Jenny your dad's listening too. Jake says no surprises there just come in here. They all come into the living room and sit down.

In The Meantime with Mackenzie and Marissa. Mackenzie says Marissa how do you think it's going for Melanie? Marissa says i'm hoping it's going well because her and Jake deserve to be happy. Mackenzie says me too and she deserves happiness because she's our sister. Marissa says yes and because mom and dad took most of her happiness away when they used her money for the vacation we came back from and from trying to take us to that camp. Mackenzie says yes true I'm so glad we didn't go to the camp but i'm wishing we still had mom and dad so they could apologize for what they did. Marissa says yeah same here but Melanie hasn't noticed that she got money back from us not going to that camp so I think we should just wait till she notices and then maybe she will think thats the apology because she got reimbursed the money for it. Mackenzie maybe.

Concurrently with Alexis and Conrad. Alexis says it looks like they went on a second date. Conrad says yeah but Melanie knows what she's doing and she'll make a good choice. Alexis says yeah I know i'm just scared that it will ruin her friendship with T.C in the end if she doesn't pick him. Conrad says if that is to happen then I guess he can't handle her happiness and he wasn't a friend at all. Alexis says that's true. Conrad says yeah we will see them on Monday at school so let's not worry too much.

Meanwhile with Sam. Sam is driving to Melanie's and he decides that if he and Mackenzie can't stop fighting and disagreeing on things then they have to break up. He arrives at Melanie's and he sees that her cars are gone but he knows that Mackenzie and Marissa are home because they don't usually hang out with Melanie on Friday's. He parks his car and gets out of the car. He walks up to the door and knocks.
