Mark was dressed in his best fitted black suit for tonight, Jinyoung, his boyfriend of a year was taking him out to the best restaurant in town, the same one they had there first date in. He's excited to celebrate with him and was quite surprised he remembered the place.
He noticed Jinyoung has been acting distant lately but hopes this night will rekindle what they had. He fixed his hair one last time before heading out to the restaurant.

When his cab pulled up he thanked the man and paid his fare. He walked to the greeter and told him who he was meeting and was immediately led to the table.
There he sat in a nice blue suit, looking just as handsome as ever. Mark smiled warmly at him and was a bit startled by the forced smile on Jinyoung's face. He let it slide and seated himself across from him. They had a little small talk before the waiter came to get their order.
It was an Italian place that was cozy with candles at every table and delicious wines. Mark ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, because he's always preferred the white sauces, while Jinyoung ordered the spaghetti. They continued their small talk while waiting, Mark noticing the whole time that his boyfriend is being rather cold tonight.
"You know this is our anniversary, you could at least Pretend to enjoy yourself." Mark said with a chuckle to lighten the mood and get his point across.
"I know it is, that's why this is so hard." He said with a tense face.
"What do you mean?" Mark asked alarmed.
"Look Mark I've been thinking and we need to break up." He said bluntly. Mark was shocked, on the verge of tears but he held them back to not appear weak.
"Why?" He asked quietly.
"Because I've been seeing someone else and I want to see where it goes." Mark felt the wind get punched from his chest at those words. His whole world crashing down, was everything a lie?
"I- uh why on our anniversary? you asshole." He said yelling at the end, not caring that every head was turned his way. He got up gracefully, set his napkin on the table and walked out.

Mark decided walking home would be better than getting a cab so he didn't have to cry his heart out to the driver. As he made his way to his now even lonelier apartment he thought back to all the signs and why he didn't see it.
He wondered what he did wrong to make this happen. What did he do to deserve this?

As he wandered home with these thoughts in his head an idea popped up. He quickly called his nephew BamBam and asked if he would meet him at the bar, which he quickly accepted hearing the sad tone in his uncles voice.

When he arrived, he immediately started ordering shots so that by the time BamBam got there he was well on his way to drunk. He startled a bit when a hand slapped his shoulder.
"Heyyy Bammy." He slurred, BamBam was only mildly surprised at his state.
"Hey uncle, what's wrong?" He sighed. Mark looked around like he didn't know what he was talking about.
"Pfft, wrong?" He shook his head. "Nothing is wrong I mean can't an old uncle take his nephew out for drinks every now and then? I mean is it so weird that your uncle who passed his prime years ago who is single as of tonight, take his favorite nephew out for drinks?" BamBam looked at him, something in his statement caught his attention but he can't be sure what it was.
"Well yeah it's ok but it's just out of character for you that's all. It's just that you spend most of your free time with.." His eyes widened and his jaw dropped. "Did you say single? You just told me two days ago that you were going for your anniversary dinner, when did this happen?" He looked Mark up and down, noticing the nice suit he was wearing and his tears pouring down his face.
"That bastard! He did it tonight? Why? What happened?" BamBam started rubbing Marks shoulders as a comfort.
"He took me to our restaurant where we had our first date, we ordered food and before it even got there he told me he had someone else and he wants to see where it goes." Mark sobbed into his hands again as BamBam hugged him.
"What is wrong with me?" He mumbled. BamBam shook his head, grabbed his shoulders and looked him in the eye.
"There is nothing wrong with you Mark, you are a great catch, you just have to find the right one." Mark smiled and drunkenly hugged him again. They stayed another hour before BamBam figures he's had enough. He called a cab and took Mark home and placed him in his bed. He kissed the top of his head before saying "I'm sorry Mark." He left the room and went to sleep on the couch figuring he wouldn't want to be alone in the morning.
