Around people she was loud
Laughing, talking, singing
Now.
Silence.
Alone she was loud
Crying, screaming, gasping
Now.
Silence.
She didn't eat.
She wanted to be skinny.
She needed to be thin.
Her prays for perfection could be heard through out the house.
Now.
Silence.
The beeps of the machines pierced my ears.
She didn't speak.
She was dying.
She swallowed too many pills.
The beeps got slower.
Then I heard it.
The most gruesome sound I've ever heard.
Flatline.
Nurses and doctors buzzed around me.
Working to bring her back.
I couldn't hear them.
I only heard the ringing.
The ringing stopped.
Now.
Silence
