"Damn." I hear Nahmir sigh from downstairs.

"What you say?" I yell to him. He didn't reply which annoyed me but I shrugged it off until I heard him on the phone with others. He was laughing & yelling.

"Nyah?!" Nahmir shouts my name. I sigh & head downstairs.

"Yess?." He lifts his head. "You hungry?" I shrug. "mmm, yeah." He continues to talk with whoever was on the phone before handing me my shoes & coat. "Thank you." I laugh out while Nahmir hums in response.

"I'm going to be picking up Cordae & Jay on the way back... if you don't mind." He explains walking me to the car. "No, I don't mind." I smile getting in.

No I don't have a crush on Nahmir but I knew he had one on me. He didn't know I knew because Jay told my EVERYTHING & I was physically going to keep it that way.

I don't see myself liking Nahmir because he plays to much with a lot of his girlfriends then comes to me & brag.

"Where to?" He asks taking me out of my thoughts. "Uhh... Cookout?" I question. He hunches his shoulders. "Sure."

"Okay, here is the bill." The waitress sets it down before walking away. "I'll pay half." I say going inside my purse. Nahmir stops my arm & places his money down. "Nah you don't have to, I got it"

I grin widely. "Thanks." He nods reaching for my arms to pull me up from the seat.

We walk out to the car. "Shit." I curse throwing my head into my hands. "What." Nahmir says in confusion heading towards Cordae & Jay's house.

I shake my head. "I forgot we walked out of class & I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing." He laughs. "Shii, I don't remember either."

We arrive at their house seeing them sitting outside on the porch. Once they noticed us they ran to my window. "Hey Nyah." Jay says speaking through my window before hopping into the backseat. "Hi."

I waited for Cordae to speak but he didn't. "Are you still mad?" I whine turning around in the seat to his fake pouting face. "You broke my shit, what do you mean." He turns to the window completely shutting me out.
Last month I accidentally stepped on Cordae's computer but I was dancing so I didn't really see it laying there.

"I'm sorry, what can I do to make it up to you."

He smiles like a psychopath turning back to me. "You can assist me a n-" Cordae was cut off by all of our phones going off. "What the fuck is this." Jay laughs facing his phone to me. "Uhh I have a phone too Jay, I seen it already." I say lifting my phone up showing him the same alert.

"Ohh yeah." He laughs again finishing it off with a sigh. "NRA believe that the new wave Purge will refinance all 50 state citizens. All crime will be allowed for one night in October." Cordae reads aloud.

"Wait, all crime— that means murder is included. Plus that's the month of Halloween, niggas are gonna be on their funny shit !" I yell as Nahmir stops the car. Cordae continues to read while Jay is in the backseat having fake seizures & screaming out like a female. "We finna DDIIIIEIEIE." He shouts.

"Lemme see." I gave the phone to Nahmir as he reads the exact same thing Cordae just said. "It's probably a prank or something. Remember Hawaii had a fake bomb alert. America is stupid." He says pulling up to my house.

"Man ion know, I'm still scared." Jay says hiding behind me walking closely. I laugh walking up to my door. A note sat in the middle of it folded down.

"What is this?" I scoff. "Well, somebody doesn't pay their bills." Jay speaks again. I raise hand back pretending like I was going to hit him. "Here just open it." Nahmir says.

I open it seeing the same alert. "It's not an eviction note Jay it's the same alert that was on our phones." They all screech. I unlock my door so we can go inside & sit down.

"I think this for real guys." I say worriedly to all of them.
