•°• Song Of Silence •°•

Sadness has swirled itself around you,
Embedding itself in your soul, like the ink on your skin.
It weighs you down and all that is visible is blue...
Evidently, away you are withering.

My cries and pants and sobs  and screams
Remain unheard and I,
Remain unseen,
From the eyes that see
Only what it wants to see --
The selfish, soulless human eyes.

So, when at night, you are fast asleep,
The innocence of an infant playing gingerly on your face,
I whisper softly but surely,
While stroking your hair:

"Don't blame yourself,
Don't dwell in lies,
My heart may not beat,
I may not be alive,
You could never have saved me,
I was in too deep.
But when you have no-one, you believe,
Just think of me."

And when a smile overtakes your lips,
I fly away,
To a faraway world,
Where a beating heart,
Does not exist.
