"Why sparring?" Uraraka questioned as Todoroki pulled her in the direction of the gym.

"Because you probably need to blow off some steam after that mess."

"What mess?"

"Did you seriously already forget about the whole screaming match that you had with Bakugou?" Todoroki looked back at her with a completely confused look.

"Oh, right, that happened."

"So you did forget." Todoroki sighed. "Why am I not surprised?"

"Because you talk to me too much." Uraraka giggled.

"And sometimes I wonder why I do."

"Because every girl needs a gay best friend."

"I hate that that's actually a good reason."

"Isn't that a good thing? You gotta build up that frustration to release it while we spar." Todoroki stopped all together right in front of the gym at those words and looked her dead in the eyes with the strangest expression.

"What did he do to you?"

"What do you mean? Who did what?" Uraraka chuckled awkwardly, unsure of what to make of the situation.

"There's something clearly going on between you and that pinecone."

"There isn't!" She quickly defended. "Why does everybody keep saying that?"

"Because it's a tad bit suspicious that you two were down in the lounge so late by coincidence."

"So you believe them?"

"It's hard not to."

"I literally told you what I was down there for." She crossed her arms with a frown. Her foot tapped the floor as she pushed all her energy towards it as not to burst with anger. It was really building.

"Sorry that I think it's a bit weird that you would go eat a box of cereal at three in the morning."

"Todoroki, you literally eat bags of popsicles by the minute."

"That's different."

"It really isn't."

"Look," Todoroki sighed, "I didn't come here to cause conflict, I'm just concerned."

"There's nothing to he concerned about."

"This is Bakugou we're talking about, Uraraka."

"It's not because it's Bakugou, it's because you guys can't seem to realize that I can handle shit myself."

"Calm down." Todoroki put his hands up to try to calm her and probably defend himself. She probably looked ready to throw a table. "I'm not saying that-"

"No!" Uraraka retaliated. "I literally had a screaming match with Bakugou early, what the fuck makes you think that I need some kind of defending!?" They got a few looks from passer-bys. Some in the gym even glanced their way. Some watched intently through the glass. Out of the corner of Uraraka's eye, she could swear she saw a big ball of blond spikes peaking out. That was a largely unimportant detail in the moment though. She almost wanted to smirk at the thought of Bakugou watching her scream like he does. He'd have the biggest grin on his face.

"Uraraka, I wasn't saying that at all."

"Then what?" She snapped.

"I'm just worried that he might make you so pissed that you do something drastic."

"You've certainly pulled that off better." With that she pushed past him to get to her dorm. Nothing but silence in the hall. She heard the distant question of: What did you say?

~

Bakubitch: nice job that was hilarious

Poolfloaty: he deserved it

Bakubitch: You're learning

Bakubitch: I'm not sure if I should be proud or not

"It was crazy, she just went off on him." Kirishima said to Kaminari as they sat down on the couch in the lounge. It took Bakugou everything in his power not to outright grin with pride, knowing exactly what they were talking about.

"The hell are you talking about?" He asked in his usual tone as not to raise suspicion.

"Uraraka went off on Todoroki." Kirishima informed.

"What'd you do to her?" Kaminari asked.

"I didn't do anything." Bakugou frowned, looking up from his phone. "My quirk isn't controlling people's emotions or whatever the fuck."

"But you did fight with her earlier."

"What's your point?"

"There has to be some kind of connection."

"It could just be that she's a regular person." Bakugou rolled his eyes. The most truthful thing he had said during this entire conversation.

"That's odd of you to say." Kirishima raised a brow.

"What happened to hating her?" Kaminari asked just as suspicious.

Bakugou sighed, "I'm going to bed." He declared as he got up.

"It's like 8 pm."

"What's your damn point?" He scowled causing the two to back up a bit as to not get hurt.

"Goodnight!" The two smiled nervously.

"Night." Bakugou mumbled as he walked off.

The elevator ride was calming as the machinery droned on quietly and the floor grew more distant. He sighed when the elevator made it to the second floor. He was pleasantly surprised to find Uraraka on the other side of the doors. She stepped in.

Once again, the quiet sounds of the elevator started up. Now, normally he wouldn't have cared but the atmosphere had something odd to it. It was kind of awkward being in an elevator so abruptly. They shared the occasional glance as if both waiting for either to start some kind of conversation.

"Do you ever wonder if people will ever actually make an effort to understand us?" He found himself saying. A bit of surprise appeared on Uraraka's face.

"We seem to be the only ones willing unfortunately."

"Makes us all the better so I don't think it's much of a misfortune." He shrugged.

"But it sure is fucking annoying." Uraraka groaned.

"You really are pissy today." It's kind of hot. He almost added. Stopping himself for obvious reasons. He didn't even mean to think in the first place.

"I'm just frustrated."

"If you ever need to blow off some steam just take it out on me." He half-joked. He was being fairly honest as he understood her frustration.

"I might kill you if I do."

"Doubt it." He smiled as they stepped off and went their separate ways. He couldn't help but look back at her walk off into the distance.

There had to be something wrong with him. Never in a million years would he have said anything like that to someone. For some reason he was kind of glad he did. This wasn't making the slightest bit of sense. Yet it was making sense.

God, he needed some sleep.
