"You love him, why did you left?"
The face on the mirror asked me.

"Sometimes love isn't enough"
I replied.

"But it's enough for you to leave him?"
I looked at my reflection, the light in my eyes long gone, the mirth and passion dissipated into nothing but empty hollow orbs. A tear went down my cheek, I don't know whose emotions I'm feeling anymore is it the reflection's or mine?

"It wasn't enough but it was all we had, I left because I knew that if we continue it any further we would just end up getting hurt," I retorted.

"You're hurting now, everyone is bound to get hurt." I stared back at my own reflection.

"I know"

"He loved you"

"I know"

"He'll be gone forever"

"I know"

My reflection's gaze softened, "It was impossible right from the start wasn't it?"

"I knew"
