Micah's POV

I watch as she drove off from the diner and I continue to wait there for my Beta to come fetch me. The things I do to get her attention, now that I think about it, it was rather foolish. All I did was be mean to her, I've never considered how she felt about my actions because I always assumed girls like bad boys. However, around her, I could finally be myself. I don't have to pretend to act cool or be a jerk, I can be me. She may not be my mate, but I am determined to have her as my Luna. If only she knew what I was or who I was 7 years ago, the day I first met her.

Flashback, 7 years ago...

I was upset that my father had forgotten to buy me a new remote control toy car even though I had reminded him for the past 3 days. I know I am being a brat about it but its not everyday I get to see my father. He is always away on pack meetings, securing pack territories and dealing with rogues. I admit, I was a lonely child, ever since my mother died during a rogue attack my father had to play both the father and mother in our household. But there are times I just wished he'll just stop working for a few days and play with me. I ran away from the house and shifted into my wolf form. "Micah, you know your father forgotten about the car because he was busy." Said my wolf. My wolf's name is Elliot, he is a wise and kind, I tend to always seek him for some advice but sometimes, he can really be a pain in the ass. I ignored my wolf's comment and continue walking into the forest.

Then I saw this beautiful butterfly and decided to follow it. I chased the butterfly until I didn't notice the hole that I was about to fall into. The moment I leaped, I fell straight into the hole and injured one of my leg. I whimpered in pain as it continue to bleed. "I told you so." replied my wolf. I growled back at him and laid there hoping someone would pass by. I didn't want to howl for my father because I didn't want to be found at that time. Then I heard a twig snapped nearby my surrounding, I snapped my head up attentively perking up my senses as I heard foot steps coming this way. I howled a little, hoping to get its attention. Then a little girl around my age came into view, she was wearing a frilly pink dress with a small white flower in her hand. "are you hurt little guy?" I cock my head to the side as I watch this girl. Little guy? We're the same age! I lifted my left paw a little to show her my wounds, as soon as she noticed it she got up on her feet and yelled, "Hang in there! I'll go get my daddy!" Minutes later, she came back with a man who I think is her father. He threw a piece of rope down then tied the other end to a big boulder. Then he climbed down and slowly picked me up and carefully positioned me on his shoulder as he climbed up.  I winced a little whenever he moves his shoulder to pull himself up. "Hang in there little guy, just a little while longer!" He spoke through heavy breaths clearly panting from the climbing. Atlas we were out of the hole and the man gently placed me down on the grass.

"Honey, can you bring the first aid kit here?" The little girl nodded and dragged the first aid kit over to me. The man, then said, "Its going to sting a little." The minute the cotton came in contact with my skin I yelped in pain. Then the girl came over and gently patted my back as she cooed, "Its okay... its okay..... You'll get better soon." I watch her beautiful eyes as her small hands gently rubbed my back soothing me from the pain. She's beautiful. When her eyes met mine, she smiled. Oh gosh, her smile is to die for! Then she whispered, "Little wolf, you have very beautiful bright yellow eyes. Its like gold." I wanted to so badly shift right back into my human and tell her the same thing but I knew better than to do so. Humans do not know of our existence, if they do, they'll hunt us down like monsters. "My my, what a bright child she is." said my wolf. I agreed with his remark. "Alrighty, you're all fixed up pup. Do you know how to get back home?" the man asked. I nodded my head back as a response, then he gestured for his daughter to come to his side. She ran up to him and he gracefully carried her in his arms. "Okay Alice, say bye bye to little wolf." The man said. The girl giggled and waved at me as she squeal, "Bye bye wolfie!" I continue to stare at the father and daughter as they disappeared into the forest. Alice....... her name is Alice... I'll remember that name until I find her.

End of Flashback...

The thought of it just makes me smile. "Hey Alpha!" The voice of my Beta snapped me out of my trance of thoughts. I opened the door and sat at the passenger seat. "So.... where's the girl you went out with?" I sighed and answered, "She went home." My beta hummed in response and he drove us back to our pack house. As soon as we reached the pack house, reports and complaints about the rogues came piling up. Nobody knows why a group of rogues came into town, we couldn't decipher what they wanted but I know they smell like trouble. It was Mrs Dawson, the literature teacher at our high school told us about the recent rogues that came into town few days ago. They were a group of teens about my age and they just bought a house right in the heart of town, living among the humans. I shared this information with the Williams twins as well, although we detest one another, for the sake of everyone's safety we're willing to set our hate aside. We all agreed to join packs to solve the rogues until further notice. Moreover, I think the sole reason we manage to set aside our differences is because of Alice. Neither of us wants to see her get hurt or get caught up in a fight. Oh Alice, the more I think about her the more I want to see her. I loved her from the moment I met her 7 years ago and I still love her now. I would do anything to have her in my arms even if its just for a split second.

She was my light in my darkness, she was there for me when I had lost my father though she never knew that it was me. At the age of 15 my father had died out of depression which probably resulted from the mate bond between him and my mother. I took off one night in my wolf form just running aimlessly in the forest. Then I came across her again, she was sitting alone next to a lake staring aimlessly at the night sky. When I paced up to her she flinched as she turned back to glance at the creature who had disturbed her serenity. I stopped in my track and whimpered as I watched her fear me. Then she came up to me and asked, "You look rather familiar.......wait those spots..... No way?! are you wolfie!?" Its embarrassing how she still remembers that name after all these years. I let out a yelp to counter her question. She smiled at me and then said, "Do you want to accompany me for awhile?" I stepped forward towards her and sat next to her. She sighed and said, "Have you ever lost someone so close you just feel the whole world had shut down? this morning I had lost my grandmother." Her eyes started pooling with tears, I wanted to comfort her, hug her, kiss her but I couldn't. So I nudge my head between her neck, she giggled and responded, "And now here I am talking to an animal who I assumed understands me." I pulled away cocking my head to my side. She laughed and leaned her head against my furry body. I rested my head on hers as we continue to sit and gaze at the clear night sky.

Then the next day I see her in school and saw that she was being comforted by the Williams twins. I got angry, I was furious, I didn't like how close they were. It was then I started gathering information about her and the Westwood Pack. Turns out, both their fathers were best friends and had dreams of betrothing Alice and Aiden together. I slammed the papers on my desk in anger and threw the chair across my office. I think it was then I started harassing her to let out some steam. After doing it sometime only I realized that I had made her uncomfortable and she hated me for it.  I got so frustrated that I went out drinking once to drink my sorrows away, it was then I met Vivian in the bar. She's a she-wolf in my pack one of my warrior wolves. She tried to take advantage of me in my drunk state and we ended up having a one night stand. It was the biggest mistake I had ever done in my entire life. A mistake that I can never take back. Damn it Alice, why can't you see how much I love you.
