Chapter 12: Luna of Westwood Pack

Alice's POV

"You have clearly lost your mind Alice, confronting Vivian is a very very bad idea! Does the phrase 'kicked out of Westwood Pack' mean anything to you?" spoke Kaden as he kept pacing around in my room. 

I rolled my eyes at his remark and replied, "Well, we have to start somewhere right? I think Vivian is a good start." 

"Alice you're gonna get yourself killed! What makes you think she'll give you answers?!" yelled Kaden. 

I stood up and slap the back of his head and said, "Keep it down you dimwit! Do you want everyone to know about our little plan?! geez." 

He sighed in frustration as he sat on the chair near the window. He is right, confronting Vivian would put me in a very dangerous position. But then again, I would risk it all if it means saving Aiden. "Alrighty, let's pack up and go!" I yelled. 

"Oh man... Dad's gonna kill me when he finds out" sighed Kaden in frustration. We grabbed our stuff and our bag and head for the pack infirmary. "Remind me again why are we heading to the pack infirmary Alice?" asked Kaden. "We're getting something that can give me an upper hand at things when our little confrontation gets a little violent." I replied. 

As we made it through the woods, we heard a twig snapped nearby. Kaden and I exchanged looks and he secured me behind his back and was ready to lunge out at anyone or anything that are in our way. Then, as the surrounding got quiet, we heard a low growl coming from behind us. Kaden then shifted into his wolf form and lunge at the thick bushes behind us. I heard the growls getting louder and then whimpering? Who the fuck is whimpering?  I saw Kaden in his wolf form slowly backing away from the bushes as he had his head hung low and was whimpering. Kaden?! Whimpering?! What the hell Kaden! Then two large wolves emerged from the bushes and were now growling at Kaden menacingly. A dirty grey wolf with bright yellow eyes and another slightly larger chestnut colour wolf with piercing red eyes. Red eyes? Alpha of another pack? Oh fuck no, did we get found out??? Then all of a sudden I heard bones cracking, all three wolves were now shifting back to their human form. Oh crap, I'm done for!

As I was about to turn around and make a run for it, "Luna Alice! You are in a heaping amount of trouble!" yelled Micah. I closed my eyes and took and deep breath as I turned to face an angry Ryan and a furious Micah. I was about to open my mouth to speak but was cut off when Ryan said "Confronting Vivian is a very very bad idea. You will get yourself killed, how do you think Aiden would feel if you're putting yourself in danger behind his back?" 

I shifted my gaze to Kaden as I spoke angrily "You ratted me out?!" Kaden hung his head low and Micah stepped in between me and Kaden as he spoke menacingly, "Alice! if he didn't rat you out, you would have been in danger right now! You have no right to yell at him! Now go back to the pack house and quit your shenanigans." 

I got furious and spat, "Look here stupid Eastwood whatever Alpha. I am done listening to authorities here telling me what to do and what not. My mate is helplessly locked in the infirmary because of some stupid poison in his body. You expect me to just sit around and wait like a little bitch? I may be human but I am also Westwood pack's Luna. As a Luna, I have the responsibility of looking after the wellbeing of my pack!" I took a step forward to Micah and pointed a finger at him and continued "So either you help me or get the fuck out of my way, understand?!" 

I was tired of getting pushed around. I am the Luna and yet I don't have the power to even stand up for myself and Aiden. I'm sick of feeling helpless. This time, no one will get in my way of saving Aiden. I stared intensely at Micah as he growled at me. Micah turned around in frustration and then he took a deep breath. Ryan spoke "Now that's a true Luna right there. Come on man, let her off the hook." 

Micah turned his gaze back to me and groan as he replied, "Fine! One condition, Ryan and I are coming with the both of you. For extra protection." Kaden and I grinned widely as a frustrated Micah shook his head in disappointment and Ryan chuckled. 

"Okay, so what are we doing in the infirmary?" asked Micah. "I need to get a little poison for my own self-protection. Do you happen to know where they keep the wolfsbane?" I asked. 

"I know where it is." spoke Kaden as he raised his hand. Micah and Kaden proceeded to enter the infirmary as Ryan and I waited outside. Micah figured they would suspect something if I were to go to the infirmary again. 

Kaden gave me a nod of approval as he stepped into the infirmary with Micah. 

Micah's POV

Damn Alice really has the balls to pull stunts like these. But that's probably one of the reasons why I fell for her in the first place. She wasn't afraid to stand up to do what was right even if it's beyond her. It's still upsetting that she's Aiden's mate but for her, I'm willing to do anything. I hope he treats her right because if he doesn't, I won't back down in having her as my own pack's Luna. 

Kaden cuts off my train of thoughts as he whispered, "I know a nurse here who can get us whatever we want. I'm gonna look for her behind the office desk, wait for me here." I looked at him with curiosity as I replied, "There's a huge difference between knowing someone and fucking around with someone Kaden. Who knew you were this kinky." I smirked. 

"Damn it Micah, that's not fair." He replied hastily in a rather hushed tone. I gestured for him to hurry, he nodded and went towards the nurses' main office. Then I caught a rather familiar scent coming from the ward down the hallway. Hmmm pretty sure he won't be back that quick, I'll go and check it out. I saw a lifeless female body laying on the bed with bandages all over her body. As I went closer to take a look, it was Mrs. Dawson. Holy hell, I knew she was injured but this is horrible. As I was about to leave, Mrs. Dawson called out to me. 

"Micah... You need to stop her... She is only a chest piece for the real mastermind." Whispered Mrs. Dawson. "She? Vivian?" I asked. 

"No dear. The one Vivian answers to. She is only a chest piece. The real mastermind is here in this pack." Answered Mrs. Dawson. 

Then Mrs. Dawson started coughing and continued, "My twin sister Ally... She's a victim in this mastermind."

My eyes grew wide in surprised and yelled "You have a Twin sister?!" 

"What do you think you're doing here?!" Yelled Dr. Emma. 

"Who allowed you access here?" Asked Dr. Emma 

"Micah! There you are! I went to the bathroom for awhile and then you weren't in sight! Come on, my brother is in the other room. Sorry Emma, he doesn't know his way here." Said Kaden as he hastily yanked me out of the room. 

"What the hell man! Do you want to us get caught?" Said Kaden in a hushed tone. However, I wasn't paying attention to him at all. The things Mrs. Dawson said was repeating in my mind again and again like a broken record. The real enemy is in this pack. 

We left the infirmary and met up with Alice and Ryan behind the bushes. "So how many bottles of wolfsbane you smuggled??" Asked Alice excitedly. Kaden replied, "We have about 5 bottles here and 5 syringes." 

"Hey man, you alright?" Asked Ryan as he came up to me. I looked at him then back at Alice. Alice face harden when she saw the concern look on my face. Before she could ask I beat her to it and spoke, "Alice, screw Vivian. We're confronting Mrs. Dawson." 

"WHAT?!" screamed Alice. I rushed over to cover her mouth before she blabbers her way. "Shhhh Look, I'll explain on the way. Just trust me on this. The situation isn't as simple as it seems. There's alot of facts we have not uncovered and that's probably why we don't have any leads on the problem yet." Alice nodded and I uncovered her mouth. 

"Promise me Alice, Whatever happens, let me do all the talking. When I give you the signal you plunge a needle of Wolfsbane into her body as Kaden and Ryan hold her down." I said in a serious tone. 

They all nodded in agreement. Ryan got up to make sure the coast was clear and we all shifted into our wolves. I carried Alice on my back and we headed towards the school through the woods. Whoever the mastermind is, he/she will pay for the trouble he/she has caused. I can't wait to sink my fangs into its throat and slit it open.
