Lili's POV

Two weeks. It's been two weeks since I've spoken to Harry. I know he hates me, but I thought that our little session in the gym had changed things. I guess I was wrong. He's been to the gym - not that I've actually seen him, but I've noticed his car in the car park a few times when I've come to workout myself. However, he seems to know my work schedule and mastered how to work around it as he hasn't come into the gym when I've been working on the reception desk. The weirdest thing about the situation is that he kissed me. He's the one that wanted it in the boxing ring, and now he's avoiding me.

It is a Thursday afternoon, my day off is tomorrow so I have made plans with Charlotte to go out for a drink after work. 3pm, my watch reads, 3 hours until I can get out of this place. My job has been the same-old,  sitting at my desk staring aimlessly at the computer screen whilst I scan people in and out of the gym. Lisa is supervising today, so I'm not completely on mine own, which I guess is a bonus, but thats the most exciting one of my shifts gets.

The minutes tick by extremely slowly, and it finally comes around to 6pm. I start to log off my computer and gather my things up. I'm putting my jacket on when a hand is put in front of my face, along with a gym membership card. "Sorry, I have just logged off my computer, could you go to the other desk please?" I politely say to the customer as I look up, my breath hitches in my throat as I am met with those vivid green eyes. "Oh, hello," I softly mumble as he looks back at me, the gym card still held out in front of me. I look at him, awaiting a response but his gaze never leaves mine as he stays silent, "I said this desk is-", "fine, Liliana," he cuts me off mid-sentence and turns to go to Lisa's desk, scanning his card and walking into the boxing room, never looking back at me. "What was that about?", Lisa's soft voice interrupts my thoughts. I turn and look at her, she is smiling up at me from her desk, "he is so rude isn't he?", I reply back to her, rolling my eyes. She looks taken aback at my harsh words and shrugs her shoulders, "he's sweet," she pauses, "and easy on the eye," she winks at me and turns back to her computer screen. I pick up my bag and start to head for the exit of the gym, waving goodbye at Lisa as I do so.

8pm.

Charlotte picked me up at 7pm from my apartment, and drove us into the city. It wasn't a long drive, around 10 minutes. Once I got back from work I jumped into the shower then got dressed into a white, just above the knee-length dress and heels. Charlotte is wearing a black jumpsuit and heels, along with a denim jacket.

We are now sat in a glamorous cocktail bar, full of people mid-20s, dancing, chatting, and flirting. There are bright lights all around the dark room, and a stage in the middle, with dancers and singers performing. We've been here about half an hour, and already the vodka and coke is going to my head. Charlotte keeps giggling at me, but I'm not sure whether it is at how much of a lightweight I am, or because the boys sat at the table next to us keep calling out at me, asking for my number and if they can buy me a drink. I decide to go to the bar and order Charlotte and I some drinks, and I notice one of the boys follow me up to the bar. The bar is rammed full of people and its hard to get to the front, but with a bit of pushing and shoving I finally make it to the front of the queue. "Four Tequila shots please," I start to slur to the bartender, he nods at me and turns away to pour the drinks. As I am waiting, the boy from the table next to us appears next to me. He puts his hand out for me to shake, "Callum," he introduces himself, and I take his hand, "Lili," I reply, smiling from ear to ear. Callum is around six foot, with messy blonde hair and a bit of stubble. His bright blue eyes pierce into mine as I take in his beauty. He is wearing a white t shirt and jeans, and is smiling back at me. "Nice to meet you Lili, let me buy you a drink?", he asks me, although it's more of a demand than anything. I smile and nod back at him as he orders a vodka and coke for me. The bartender quickly puts the drink together and hands it to us on the bar, along with the four shots I ordered. Callum pays for it all and picks up the tray of drinks before we both turn around to head back to the table.

As we arrive back at our table, I see that Charlotte is talking to a boy who has pulled up a chair, although he has his back turned to me so I can't see him. Charlotte smirks at me as she sees me arrive with Callum, and I wink back at her. I pull my seat out from our table and sit down, and the boy Charlotte was talking to turns to face me. My heart starts to beat faster as I am met with those familiar green eyes, pink lips and dark, curly hair. "Liliana," his stern voice fills my ears as he greets me, "hello," I reply back, sipping on my vodka and coke that Callum passed to me as he pulled up a chair next to me. "Who do we have here?", Charlotte smiles, and winks as she smiles at Callum, "I'm Callum," Callum answers for me. "Hello Callum, I'm Harry," my annoying neighbour speaks, "Hi bro, nice to meet you " Callum replies and I grimace at the cringe nickname he gave Harry. "Nice to meet you too, bro," Harry replies, smirking as he looks at me and winks.

One hour, eight shots and four vodka and cokes later, I am smashed, and so is Charlotte, Callum and Harry. Yes, Harry is still sat with us, but I am having fun so who cares? Charlotte had just made funny joke about a 50-something year old man who keeps staring at her and we are all in hysterics, before she speaks up, "I need the toilet, Callum will you take me?" she flutters her eyelashes at him and winks, "of course," he gets up out of his chair and takes her to the toilet, being Charlotte's support every time she nearly loses balance and falls over.

Great, my subconscious groans, just Harry and I at the table. There is silence between us for about two minutes before his raspy voice fills the air, "you look lovely tonight, Liliana," he says, and looks at me up and down. I blush at his compliment, "I, uh, thank you," I stutter, as he winks back at me. My god, he is so gorgeous. "Let's get out of here," he says, he stands up and takes my hand before I can reply, and before I know it, we are on our way back to our apartment building.

Harry's POV

Her small hand is held in mine as she walks beside me, her teeth chattering as she shivers in the cold, even though I gave her my jacket. We've been walking for about half an hour, aimlessly in the direction of our apartment building. She looks stunning tonight, she's wearing a white dress that clings to her body in all the right places, and shows of her curves. Her brunette hair is in loose waves and her blue eyes are bright and beautiful, as always.

"Why have you been avoiding me?", her soft voice breaks my thoughts, and she looks up at me, her expression unreadable. The truth is, I've been scared to talk to her since our kiss at the gym. She reminds me so much of her. "What?" I reply, looking at the floor, "you've been ignoring me Harry, you know you have," she doesn't take her eyes off me as she waits for me to give her an answer. I don't know what to tell her, "I've been busy," I lie, running my free hand through my hair. "Busy enough to purposefully ignore me when you go to the gym?", she snaps back, her hand tensing in mine as she breaks her gaze, "I said I've been busy, Liliana, drop it." I reply sternly, she sighs in defeat and lets go of my hand for the rest of the walk home.

We arrive at the apartment building, a warm gush of air hitting our faces as we enter through the main entrance. It remained silent for the walk home, and still is silent as she clicks the button for the lift. It's silent in the lift, and as we walk to our front doors. I fumble for my keys in my pocket and unlock my door, I step into my apartment and turn back to look at her. Her face is covered by her hair as she searches for her keys in her bag, "I'll see you around, Lil," I say to her softly, her head turns up to meet my gaze and she smiles, "See you later," she replies, and I shut my door.

I walk into my apartment, chuck my keys onto the side and flick the switch on my kettle to make some tea. I search in my cupboards for something to snack before I hear a loud, ear-piercing scream.

Only one thought crosses my mind as the scream echoes through the building.

Lili.
