I slide my bedroom window open without making a sound. My backpack is first to be tossed onto the bit of roof outside. Next I climb through the space and I can see Calum's car parked a house down with the headlights on.

With my backpack on my back I find my way over to the tree at the side of the house which has conveniently grown to give me a thick branch to step onto. After that the only thing I have to do is to get onto one of the branches on the level below to be able to hop down to land on the grass.

I stick the landing and I'm off scurrying over to the car. I pull the door open and get into the backseat. We speed down the street and Michelle turns in the passenger seat with a wicked grin. "What you got in the bag, Chandler?"

"Only about half my parents's liquor cabinet," I smile back and then I remember the person driving us. "Hi, Calum."

"Hey, Chandler."

"Thanks for picking me up."

"No problem."

"So where are we going tonight?" I ask when Michelle turns back around in her seat. Calum and I lock eyes through the rear view mirror.

"Roof."

"Nice." The ride to the high school isn't very long and when we arrive Calum makes sure to park his car out of sight. We just about skip towards the building and take turns climbing through the gap in the fence at the back of the school.

"Yo, Michael!" Calum calls up and a moment later we see three heads pop out over the edge of the roof.

"Hey, guys!" he beams. "Would you hurry your asses up?"

Calum rolls his eyes. "He's excited. He's in charge of the herbal arrangements."

"Shelly, your brother is such a stoner," I tell her and I hear a scoff from above.

"Hey, all of you smoke my stash so I would like a bit less judgement from you, Chandler."

It's my turn to roll my eyes. Calum helps Michelle and I to get up the first bit and then the last bit the guys already on the roof help to pull us up over.

"Damn, M, you gotta cut out those cheese toasties," Michael jokes once we're all up on the roof.

"Oh fuck off, you moron," she laughs and pushes him back. We all sigh at the siblings and take our seats on the roof.

You can see everything from up here—well at least you can during the day. By now the only evidence of the sun is the thin line of pink running along the ground, but we can still make out the lit up city which is only another short car ride away—give or take fifteen minutes or so.

The wind grips my hair and I have to pull it back into a ponytail for the night. Luke has already zipped open my bag and is distributing the alcohol amongst us. I notice there are already a handful of bottles and cans scattered about.

"Chandler," Ashton starts. "I would like to indirectly through you thank your father for owning a bar and never keeping us dry."

"To Dave!" Michael hollers and they all raise whatever drinks they can get hold of into the air.

"To Dave!" they all repeat and I let out a small laugh. After gulping down the mixture I concocted into one of the old water bottles Calum hands it to me with a sour look on his face.

"What the hell is that?"

"A little of everything," I grin and I bring the bottle to my lips. It really is awful and it burns as it trickles down my throat. Half an hour later all drinks have been downed and Michael's blunt is on the brink of nonexistent.

I feel bad for Calum, he only had a sip and a couple drags. I know he won't drive drunk or high out of his mind if he has Michelle and I in the car with him.

I am positively tipsy at this point and I've decided to sit leaned against Ashton's side as Michelle places one of the empty bottles in the middle of our circle. "Let's play spin the bottle."

"I don't like these odds," Luke whines as he runs a hand through his hair. His blue eyes light up when Michelle directs her phone his way to point the flashlight onto his face.

"Don't act like you haven't kissed each other before."

"All right, all right," Michael interjects. "We'll do it, but we will draw the line at incest."

"Just spin it," I groan with my head pressed to Ashton's shoulder. He moves his arm to wrap it around me and I swear I won't hesitate falling asleep on him.

"Chandler."

"Yea?" I hum and I sit up to see who is talking to me. "I'm tryna sleep."

"You and Calum have to kiss."

I raise my brows. "What?"

"The bottle landed on you so you have to kiss Calum." Throughout all the years of playing this game with each other I have never had to kiss Calum. Of course the thought of kissing him has crossed my mind before, I mean, I've kissed every single person up on this roof except for him.

"Go on," Michelle presses and I take that as an OK to kiss her boyfriend. Ashton removes his arm from around me and I begin to slowly crawl over to Calum.

I know he can tell that I'm weirded out by the situation but the reassuring smile he offers me calms me down a bit. I instinctively let my tongue glide across my lips as my eyes flit down to his and just a moment after his hand rests against my cheek our lips meet.

I shouldn't start any new stories but I'm just too far up Calum's ass
